Of course, what has made this game so widely discussed recently is the drastic change in the genre that has been adopted so far.

The hardcore Arrowhead fanbase certainly understands that the developer's titles will always be packaged in top-down isometric RPG form. But in this sequel, they appear different.

Community Role in Helldivers 2 Bug Fixes

Now let's get straight to the main topic, namely the Helldivers 2 bug fix update. This fix comes officially from Arrowhead as the developer directly, Vicigers.

What's even more exciting is that the developer doesn't seem to forget the role and opinions of the community in this improvement effort. This is done by opening a vote on their official Discord server.

This gives the players the opportunity to air what aspects are bothering them the most and should be addressed first. And this effort was welcomed by the players!

Reporting from the Screenrant page, it can be seen from the large number of responses collected, the majority of voters (more than 30%) voted for new additions to the mission objective, modifier and biome lines.

Meanwhile, coming in second place (more than 20%), the bug fixing aspect is a serious concern for players. Yep, the presence of bugs can really disrupt the excitement of the existing gameplay.

Helldivers 2 Bug Fix Update

So it's not surprising that when the update finally comes, it pays a lot of attention to the bug fixing aspect first. Some of these latest updates include:

Patch note 01.000.203 (Live 16 April '24)

1. An addition to the gameplay aspect is that the CE-27 Ground Breaker armor has a passive from the Engineer kit.
2. Equalizes the issue of differences in damage dealt to enemies between PC and console players
3. Fixed red boxes in defense missions which were often lost/unseen.
4. Fixed an issue where major orders were not displaying the correct text.
5. Fixed several crashes that could occur when/during/after/because of:

• is on the loadout screen, due to other players leaving or joining the game.
• Extraction of mission results and rewards are displayed.
• throwing grenades while carrying a heat-based weapon.
• hosting (room master/RM) is transferred to another player.
• too many civilians (NPC) spawn in the game.

Meanwhile, in the latest patch notes that appeared at the end of April, the focus is on new content. For bug fixes, some of them include:

1. Fixed an issue with saving settings on the platform Playstation 5 repeats when the game is rebooted.
2. Enemy NPCs will now also target the Exosuit. Previously, the enemy ignored the existence of Exosuits and prioritized Helldivers on foot.
3. Removed the Exosuit feature/bug that can fire its weapons simultaneously when opening the minimap.
4. Fixed a bug that caused the Helldiver and Exosuit to take multiple explosion damage.
5. Adjusted enemy constellation automatons that are reluctant to spawn certain Devastator types.
6. Improved system that prevents Hellpod rudders from approaching large or important objects.
7. Optimized the issue when the effective area/hitbox of an object is much larger than it should be.
8. Reduced the number of objects that can interfere with Hellpod steering.
9. Eliminated a bug where the runway/foundation/ground beneath some assets could be bombed by players, causing the asset to appear floating.
