Mystery Box in Stardew Valley is an item that players can get from one of them character in games here, Mr. Qi.

Players can get the Mystery Box after spending 50 days in the valley or after successfully collecting the second Prize Ticket from the billboard.

When you can access this item search, players will see a screenshot of a scene with Mr. Qi will provide information that the Mystery Box can be searched.

The Mystery Box can be obtained in various ways. Here is a list of activities and opportunities to get a Mystery Box:

  • Regular Fishing Treasure Chests: 9-17% (depends on player's daily luck)
  • Golden Fishing Treasure Chests: 12-21% (depends on player's daily luck)
  • Panning: 5%
  • Shaking the trees with seeds: 3%
  • Monsters: 0.01 + (player's daily luck / 10) + (Luck Buffs / 125)
  • Destroying containers in the mine, skull cave and Volcano Dungeon: 0.0081 + (daily luck / 15)
  • Cutting trees: 0.5%
  • From a passing train in winter: 2%

After successfully opening more than 10 boxes, you can get various items that are usually found in the Golden Mystery Box.

Apart from the method above, you can use the following methods even after getting Foraging Masteri:

  • Buy it from the Calico Egg Merchant at the Desert Festival
  • As a prize from the Trout Derby and SquidFest festivals
  • Exchange a Book of Mysteries with a Bookseller
  • Unearth Artifact Spots with odds of 0-11,25% depending on the player's daily luck
  • Opens a treasure chest in the Skull Cavern with a chance of 3.6% when the player does not yet have Foraging Mastery
  • Open the Golden Mystery Box or other types of Mystery Box
  • Completed more than 5 requests from Raccoon
  • Using the prize machine in the Mayor's Manor
  • If players cut down a large Qi Fruit tree while the Qi's Crop quest is inactive, they will receive one Mystery Box fruit
  • If you place Milk or Cookies on the table on the evening of the 24th in winter, players will get a Mystery Box instead.
  • Players will get three Mystery Boxes when they successfully complete the Winter Star Bundle
