What is Grand Lift Dectus?
Grand Lift Dectus is one of the important locations in Elden Ring game. This magnificent lift is located between two large areas, namely Liurnia of the Lakes and Altus Plateau.
Well, for those of you who want to know, there is actually an alternative way to reach Altus Plateau, which is via Ruin-Strewn Precipice. But, if you want to take a cooler and simpler lift, Dectus is the choice!
To reach this location, you can follow the eastern path in the Liurnia area, then continue your journey north through the Bellum Highway. Later, you will find this big lift ready to take you to the Altus Plateau. So, prepare yourself for an exciting adventure and don't forget to find the two Dectus Medallion parts so you can activate the lift!
Location
The Grand Lift Dectus is a giant platform whose entrance is located at the end of the Bellum Highway, in the northern part of Liurnia, along the eastern mainland. This magnificent structure connects two major areas, Liurnia of the Lakes and Altus Plateau.
But, don't be too happy yet, because when you first arrive, this elevator will be locked by four Guardian Statues. To be able to activate this elevator, you need a special artifact, namely the Dectus Medallion.
The Dectus Medallion consists of two parts spread across separate locations:
Dectus Medallion (Left)
You can find this left piece in Mistwood, specifically inside a treasure chest in the tallest tower of Fort Haight, located in the eastern part.
Dectus Medallion (Right)
The right half is in Dragonbarrow, inside a treasure chest located in the eastern tower of Fort Faroth, also in the eastern section.
Once you have successfully collected both parts of the medallion, return to the Grand Lift Dectus. Approach the platform, and press the action button when prompted to pick up the medallion and activate the lift.
Well, the elevator will go up and take you to Altus Plateau, a new area full of exciting challenges and adventures!
How to Access
First of all, make sure you have access to Raya Lucaria Academy, which is a Legacy Dungeons second in Elden Ring. To get there, you must first complete Stormveil Castle. After that, you will find Raya Lucaria Academy, a large white building in the middle of a lake in the Liurnia of the Lakes area.
Get Glintstone Key
To enter Raya Lucaria Academy, you need to get the Glintstone Key. You can find this key around Lake Liurnia. Once you get it, you can open the main door of the academy and start exploring inside.
Unseal and Activate Site of Grace
You don't need to complete all the quests in Raya Lucaria Academy to access the Grand Lift Dectus, but it is recommended to open the seal on the south side of the Legacy Dungeon and activate the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace. This will make your journey to the Tower of Dectus much easier.
Go to the Tower of Dectus
After activating the Site of Grace in Raya Lucaria Academy, you can go straight to the Tower of Dectus. It is located northeast of Lake Liurnia. Once you arrive at the tower, you will find two large statues in front of it. Now, this is the fun part!
Activate Medallion
Stand between the two statues, precisely in the circle in the middle. If you already have both parts of the Dectus Medallion (Left and Right), just activate the medallion. After that, there will be a cool cutscene showing you going up the elevator and arriving at Altus Plateau.
