Geek Fam Wins PMPL PH 2022, Passes PMGC!

Day 3 of the Grand Finals PUBG Mobile ProLeague (PMPL) 2022 MY/SG/PH ends on August 28. After 18 intense battles involving 16 teams, Geek Fam emerged victorious with 302 points and 123 kills.

The squad plays brilliantly for three days, ending the tournament with a chicken dinner in the final game.

After collecting the most points in PMPL 2022 MY/SG/PH, Geek Family becoming the first Malaysian team to qualify for the PMGC, which is scheduled to start on 22 November 2022.

PMPL 2022 Day 3 Recap 

SEM9 became the runner-up of the competition with 255 points and 87 kills. The team secured a total of two chicken dinners while consistently clinching the top spot in other matches.

Another top Malaysian squad 4Rivals, finished third in the tournament with 249 points and 91 kills. The team played very well on the final day, gaining two wins and securing a place on the tournament podium.

The top four teams from the competition will advance to the PMPL SEA Championship Fall 2022, while the fifth, sixth and seventh placed teams qualify for the SEA Play-in.

Yoodo Alliance, another strong squad from Malaysia, came in fourth in the tournament. The side ended their run with a total of 226 points.

Don't Break Dreams, the team that finished third in the League Stage of the competition, were unable to replicate the same form in the Finals and finished fifth.

TABAH NSEA and Team HAQ, two new squads on the Malaysian circuit, proved their toughness by narrowly qualifying for the SEA Play-in. Each team finished in sixth and seventh positions.

Experienced squad from Malaysia, Team Secret, performed poorly in the Grand Final as they finished 15th with only 110 points. The team will learn from their mistakes and bounce back next season.

With the tournament over, teams and fans are gearing up for the PMPL: SEA Championship Fall Split, where the best teams from Southeast Asia will compete.

Teams Qualified For SEA Play-in

Players with outstanding performance in the PMPL 2022 MY/SG/PH Grand Final are also awarded cash bonuses in the tournament. GeekFam's DamRude won both the Gunslinger and MVP prizes for his excellent fragging in the late stages of the tournament. He took home a cash prize of US$2900.

Mica, another player from Geek Family, also bagged two awards. The player secured the Grenade Master and Medic titles, pocketing a total of $1200.
