Titanfall 2 Story Setting
This game is set 5 years after the Battle of Demeter from the original series, Titanfall which is set in “The Frontier”.
The Frontier is a region whose star system is far from the "Core System" where the earth is.
Two organizations called Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and Frontier Militia are fighting for power over Frontier.
IMC seeks to exploit Frontier's resources without regard to the consequences that will impact the planet's environment and the population of people in it.
On the other hand, Milia struggles to expel the IMC to free Frontier. At the time of the Demeter war, the Militia were on the offensive, fighting for resources and control of planets in the Frontier.
Despite being weakened by the lack of support from the central system, the IMC is still the more dominant fighting force to dislodge the Militia and stop their resistance.
Game Titanfall 2
Like its predecessor, Titanfall 2 allows players to control the pilot and their Titan robot which is about 7 to 10 meters tall.
Pilots have a variety of equipment that can improve their fighting abilities. All pilots are equipped with jump kits such as parkour, double–jumping and wall–running.
The pilots you will play with also have more specific abilities in each class, which can help increase their attack and defense damage.
Titanfall 2 has some interesting gameplay mechanics such as a movement system that allows players to slide on the ground or find out the location of enemies by using pulses blades.
Apart from that, there are also grappling hook which can catapult enemies into a building or pull them towards the player.
To trick the enemy, players can use hello–pilot namely a pilot hologram that will mimic the actions performed by the original pilot.
The pilots in this game will be equipped with a myriad of gadgets and weapons such as shotguns, pistols, submachine guns and grenades to fight their enemies.
In close range combat, players can finish their enemies from behind in a short time. Attacks carried out at close range always have a fatal effect if successfully carried out.
Types of Titans in Titanfall 2
Unlike the pilot, Titan has less movement but has much better weapons and defense.
If in the previous series there were 3 Titan classes, Titanfall 2 introduces 6 new Titans namely Ion, Scorch, Northstar, Ronin, Tone, and Legion.
Ion can use a shield that can catch and reflect projectile attacks from enemies.
Scorch can fight using area-denial incendiary weaponry and mortars.
Northstar excels in ranged attacks using railguns. This Titan can also set traps that can limit the opponent's movements. Northstar is the only Titan that can float in the air.
Ronin specializes in hit-and-run combat using the "Leadwall" shotgun and sword. He focused on mid-range combat with his target lock weapon.
The Legion can use a swivel gun designed to fire at medium and close ranges.
In addition to the 6 Titans above, Respawn Entertainment also added Monarch which was released as DLC in this game.
Monarch is a Titan with the Vanguard class who can steal powers from other Titans to increase his defense shield.
For those of you who want to play this game with friends or family, you don't need to worry! Titanfall 2 provides a multiplayer mode.
