The policy of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics or Kominfo regarding Private Electronic System Operators (PSE) (digital platforms) continues to be enforced. Today, various game platforms that are popular in Indonesia have been blocked by Kominfo.
Blocked Game Platforms
This blocking prevented Vicigers from accessing the game platform and several games on the platform. The following is a list of game platforms that are blocked by Kominfo today, July 30, 2022, according to an official press release Kominfo No. 308:
- Steam (gaming platforms)
- Origin (platform games)
- Epic Games (platform games)
- BattleNet (platform games)
- Dota 2 (games)
- CS:GO (games)
Apart from the game platforms that were blocked, there were two games on the platform that were also blocked by Kominfo, namely Dota 2 and CS: GO. Thus, Vicigers cannot access blocked game platforms.

As a result, the Game Platform is blocked by Kominfo
The six game platforms were blocked by Kominfo because they had not registered themselves with Kominfo even though they had received a warning letter. The obligation to register is a policy of Kominfo MR5 or Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics Number 5 of 2020 concerning Private Electronic System Operators (PSE).
On July 23, Kominfo sent a letter of warning against PSE with the electronic system, namely Valve Corp, Epic Games, Blizzard Entertainment, and Electronic Arts. The warning letter is valid for 5 working days, starting from 25 July to 29 July.
On Saturday, 30 July 2022, the six game platforms have not yet registered with Kominfo, so today the six game platforms are temporarily blocked by Kominfo.
Epic Games
If Vicigers still tries to access the Epic Games game platform, the above screen will appear. Vicigers will not be able to enter Epic Games because Kominfo has completely blocked game platforms that have not registered after receiving a warning letter from Kominfo.

Steam
The Steam Library view for Vicigers trying to open Steam will still be there. However, Vicigers status will be offline and Vicigers will not be able to access the Store, Community, and other parts of Steam that require internet access.

As with other blocked game platforms, Origin is also blocked. Vicigers will not be able to access the Origin page and the player's status will be offline.
According to Kominfo, Electronic System Registration is a form of commitment from PSE to provide protection for internet users such as protection of personal data and a safe and productive digital space.
Even though today the six game platforms have been blocked by Kominfo, the status of the blocking is only temporary. Vicigers don't need to worry about permanent blocking, because digital platforms that are blocked can immediately register themselves so that Kominfo can open the blocking status.
