The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is rumored to have technology health tracking which is more complete than usual, because later you can directly measure blood pressure directly from your Galaxy Z Fold 3.
While 'under display' fingerprints have become commonplace on Samsung flagship phones, this time around the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 or other future Samsung foldable device is expected to take the new feature/patent to the next level, for example with a biometric scanner like the Apple Watch that can measure heart rate and blood pressure.

Mark Peters revealed on LetsGoDigital, showing that this cellphone has three methods of capturing biometric data, depending on how the cellphone is folded and the position of your finger.
According to the picture above, when the cellphone is opened, the user can squeeze the thumb and other fingers on the edge of the cellphone; the sensor is also allegedly able to read information on the user's palm and fingers when placed in the hand; and lastly, the sensor can also read the user's finger with the screen in the closed position / such as the position of the finger being pinched.
While the next phone to launch soon is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, the new sensor patent can apply to any device with a screen that folds inward, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
As informed by LetsGoDigital, the patent claims that the sensor on this cellphone has several functions such as:
- Blood pressure
- vascular age
- Arterial stiffness
- Aortic pressure waveforms
- Vascular compliance
- Stress index
- Fatigue levels
Why must a biometric sensor be on a smartphone?
Actually, a true biometric sensor is not a must that must be owned by a smartphone.
However, now that we think about it, Samsung may want to be a few steps ahead of its competitors.
For example, like Xiaomi, which has always focused lately on low prices with 'wow' specifications. Samsung seems to want to find a new 'land' that presumably doesn't have to drop the price of its newest smartphone device.
So in the future maybe consumers will argue, just buy a Samsung cellphone, the health sensor is the most complete!
Yes, there's nothing wrong, since it seems like the era after this pandemic, forces us to pay more attention to the health of our bodies
