During the event, the developers revealed several new features for the upcoming patches and bamboo blocks. Bamboo in Minecraft has been in the game for quite some time now.
Even without all the fresh additions, it's useful in many ways. If you're new to the game, you should check out all the old and new features related to bamboo in Minecraft.
Bamboo Functions In Minecraft 1.20
Below are some of the benefits and functions of bamboo in Minecraft. If you are new to this game, please refer to the review below.
Growing More Bamboo
If you have one bamboo as an item, you can plant it to grow more bamboo. This is the most basic and effective use. When farming, the first stages of the plant are fragile and can be crushed if water runs through them. However, after growing to the second stage, it changed and became dense.
Bone meal can be used to grow bamboo instantly up to 12 to 16 blocks high. Apart from this, it will naturally grow at a random tick rate. Harvesting this plant is very easy because you only need to hit it once to destroy the entire bamboo tower.
You can also create an automatic farm with an observer and a piston that will automatically break the bamboo when it reaches a certain height. The hopper and chest will collect the dropped items and store them.
Feeding the Pandas
While in the Jungle biome, you may encounter pandas roaming around. This is a neutral mob that loves bamboo. Whenever a plant item is in hand, the creature will follow you everywhere.
When fed bamboo, pandas will enter 'love mode' and reproduce to spawn babies. Furthermore, the baby panda will grow if the plants are fed. Also, if you throw an item, the mob will rush at it, pick it up and start chewing it.
As Fuel
This plant can also be used as fuel in furnaces. Each bamboo object smelt about 0.25 object. While it is not the best type of fuel to use in a furnace, many players have managed to create efficient bamboo farms with its help.
Could Be Crafts
Bamboo can be made into scaffolding, which is a beam that allows it to climb vertically without breaking or placing the beam repeatedly. They are also used to make sticks.

Latest Features of Minecraft 1.20
In update Minecraft 1.20 Coming soon, Mojang will bring a brand new set of bamboo wood. This will include all the wood blocks that other tree types have to offer and even some special blocks that are exclusive to that plant.
Combining four bamboo items will create bamboo planks which can then be crafted to produce stairs, slabs, doors, trapdoors, bamboo mosaics, and more.
Also, instead of adding the usual boat with a wooden set, Mojang changes things up and will offer a raft made out of bamboo. This item mainly acts as a boat but has a different design.
Minecraft's last major updates were June 2022, November 2021, June 2021, June 2020, and December 2019. Since 2019, Mojang has released two updates annually, with the only gap being the Pandemic in 2020 With the Wild 1.19 update being the first release this year, it is likely that the 1.20 update will be out in November or December 2022.
Mojang has mentioned bundles quite a lot in recent years. Bundles are storage items that can be used to manage items in a player's inventory and allow combinations of several item types in a single inventory slot.
They were supposed to be a new method of carrying items, allowing players to gain chest alternatives.
The newly added Ancient City is quite mysterious. The main structure is a giant hollow window, similar to a downward portal. Fans are speculating that it's actually a portal and the dimension beyond that will be the next update.

To further solidify the theory, this portal-like structure consists of reinforced slate blocks, which cannot be obtained in survival mode, like other portal blocks.
