Complete Biodata of Takemichi Hanagaki:
Now, let's go into the protagonist's profile, both regarding the beginning of the background story in the Tokyo Revengers series, abilities, and various developments that occur. Here is the review:
The story begins in 2017, where the protagonist Takemichi is a 26-year-old man whose life is full of regrets and failures. He works at a CD and DVD rental store.
The plot begins when he finds out that his ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana killed by the Tokyo Manji gang. (Toman) Although it did not have a significant impact on his life, the figure of the deceased still made him think about it.
And while contemplating the incident, he who was at the station fell onto the tracks right in front of an oncoming train. In the seconds before his death, Takemichi mysteriously returned to the past.
Takemichi has the ability to time-leap into the past. This ability allows him to try to change the past and prevent Hinata's death in the future.
But to do so he needs to shake hands with Naoto, Hinata Tachibana's younger brother. From there he gets a new goal, which is to prevent the formation of the Toman gang so that his beloved ex can stay alive.
In addition, like many main characters from other manga and anime, he is also equipped with 'plot armor': giving him strong relationships with important people who are related to the progress of the story.
Let's just say his relationship with other protagonist characters, such as Manjiro "Mikey"Sano and Ken"Draken” Ryuguji (as the founder of the Toman gang), Naoto, the younger brother of his ex who became a detective later on, etc.
Takemichi's character development:
Taken from the nickname Hinata gave him, Takemichi eventually has the nickname “Crybaby Hero”. This is because crying is his ‘ultimate move’. He is often seen doing this to cheer himself up.
Not only that, when he has to fight or wants to influence strong people which can be the climax of the plot, he usually does it by sobbing.
But crying here is not because he is weak, you know! His tears are a representation of his strong determination and courage to fight against fate to save his loved ones.
Although he was initially insecure and weak, the passage of time and his experiences with the Tokyo Manji gang shaped him into a stronger person. He has only one goal: to stand at the top of the gang!
