Free Fire Indonesia Masters (FFIM) 2021 Spring

Indonesian Free Fire

The prestigious Free Fire Indonesia Masters (FFIM) 2021 Spring event will soon enter the final round. Yes, the event will enter into the 'Grand Finals' phase. Where, this round has screened around 12 of the best Esports teams that will compete for the title as the winning team.

In addition, the team that wins this event is also entitled to a slot to play in  'Free Fire World Series 2021 April'.

Before that round, there is a named round Play-Ins which is filled with around 12 Esports teams. For this phase, it is known that it just ended on March 14, 2021. Obviously, the selection of 12 Esports teams that will play in the final round will be quite interesting. This is because there are still Evos Esports IDs that have passed and it is known that this team was previously the defending champion for the Fall edition last year.

About Free Fire Indonesia Masters (FFIM)

Before discussing further about the FFIM 2021 Spring event, we will also invite you to find out the early history of this event. Of course, this will add to your insight regarding the hottest Free Fire competition in Indonesia.

  • FFIM – Season 1

It can be said that the start of this competition occurred in mid-January 2019. At that time, this event was named 'Free Fire Indonesia Masters – Season 1' and was held offline for the peak match. Remember, the final round of the competition was held on March 17 2019 which was located at Taman Anggrek Mall.

However, for the initial round to the wildcard round it will be held online. Bearing in mind, the initial participant team that took part in this competition was more than 7000. Inevitably, this condition made this competition last quite a long time, which lasted for about three months.

The total prize money offered is around 500 million Rupiah. Where, the distribution of prizes will be received by the last 12 teams. To be sure, the nominal that will be received from each team is also different. At that time, the team that won was Capital Esports and second place was SFI ZET Hades.

Yes, the two teams also won a place for the 2019 Free Fire World Cup. However, Capital Esports was replaced by Evos Capital, which in the end this team managed to win the event.

  • FFIM – Season 2

In September 2019, the Free Fire Indonesia Masters – Season 2 was held. This time, the concept used is confirmed to be the same, that is, from the first qualifying round to the group finals, it will be conducted online. Even so, the number of contestants who played also decreased compared to season 1. This was because the initial participating teams who took part in this competition were around more than 1,000.

For the Grand Finals round, this event will be held again offline. Where, there are 12 competing teams that will play in one place, namely at the Tennis Indoor Stadium GBK Senayan. Apart from that, the total prize money offered has also increased from season 1. In detail, the total prize money is around 700 million Rupiah.

Apart from that, it's not just the last 12 teams that each will get prize money. In this edition, there are additional prizes for players who get the title MVP (which DeviL got from Dranix) and Predator (which Amek got from Onic Olympus).

For your information, Dranix Esports managed to become the team that won FFIM – Season 2. Not only that, they are also the only representatives for Indonesia in the 'Free Fire World Series 2019' event. Unfortunately, in the last event, Bay cs had to settle for 8th place.

  • FFIM – Spring 2020

In 2020, this competition eventually changed its name to Free Fire Indonesia Masters – Spring 2020. Perhaps, the name change is also what has made this event not to change its name this year.

In that edition, the Esports team initially participated in more than 800 and this competition began on February 23 2020. With the concept unchanged, qualifying round 1 to Groupfinals was held online. However, the Playins round (which was held on March 14 2020) and the Grand Finals (March 15 2020) were also held offline and that took place at the Tennis Indoor Stadium GBK Senayan.

The prize money offered is also confirmed to be the same as season 2. Not only the last 12 teams will receive prizes, this time the additional prizes given are only for players who won the Predator title (which was obtained by Apollo from Rosugo Esport). Meanwhile, the team that came out victorious in this event was Onic Olympus.

  • FFIM – Fall 2020

On September 1 2020, the Free Fire Indonesia Masters – Fall 2020 starts. Yes, the name was chosen to replace the name 'FFIM – Season 2 in 2019. Apart from that, FFIM – Fall 2020 is also joined by more than 800 Esports teams.

The concept used is still the same, namely qualification 1 to Groupfinals which are also still being held online. However, the Playins round (4 October 2020) and the Grand Finals (11 October 2020) will also be held offline at MNC Studios.

However, the total prize money given has increased. Where, the total prize money is 800 million Rupiah. For the teams that get prizes are also given to the last 12 teams. Plus, there are additional prizes for players who win the title of Predator (and at that time the player who got this prize was Jars from Onic Olympus).
