Fontaine Genshin Impact Leaks: Regions, Characters and More

Fontaine will be the next region released Genshin Impact, marking the opening folder only after the Sumeru region.

The game, which was released in 2020, is planned to release 7 main regions and Fontaine is the fifth region to be released.

The region led by Hydro Archon will be released in update 4.0 which is expected to come this August or September.

Fontaine Genshin Impact Leaks: Diving Mechanisms to Characters

Some of the leaks in this article are based on the official release announced by Genshin Impact and from various leakers on social media.

The final result, which will be released later, has a high probability of experiencing design, name, and other changes.

Fontaine Area Landscape and Map

As previously discussed, Fontaine will be inspired by the European continent, especially France.

It is also estimated that architectural inspiration for this country will take European architectural inspiration from the 18th century.

However, natural elements such as high mountains, sea or lakes are still the biggest areas of exploration later.

When viewed from the leak Fontaine's folder on social media Twitter, most of Fontaine's area is water. 

In fact, there is also a Teleport Waypoint in the water area which indicates that there will be an area under water.

This is in line with the name Fontaine which is taken from French which means fountain and is also related to Focalor, Hydro Archon which represents the element of water.

Apart from that, other small details like NPCs who uses dresses and clothes typical of aristocrats and poodle dogs, adding to the complete European element of Fontaine.

You will also be able to cook various new food menu recipes inspired by European specialties such as Duck Confit, Fish and Chips, Steak Tartare, or Lasagna.

Diving Mechanism

The large number of water areas will certainly make players inevitably have to explore by diving.

Genshin Impact has confirmed that there will be a new exploration system where players can dive underwater.

So far, Traveler's exploration in Genshin Impact has included walking, running, climbing, flying with a glider.

Recently added Waverider, Electrogranum, and most recently the Four Leaf Sigil which helps explore tall trees in Sumeru.

In Fontaine later, players will finally be able to dive underwater after previously only being able to swim on the surface.

This diving ability will also be presented with various underwater mechanisms and puzzles to accompany Fontaine's exploration.

Genshin Impact characters with new gameplay designs and mechanisms will of course be presented from the Fontaine region.

Wriothesley and Neuvillette are rumored to be the new Standard banner characters after the previous one Dehya added in the Standard banner.

Enemies and Bosses

Even though he is thick with European beauty and elegance, Fontaine will later be closely related to robots and technological advances.

From various NPC conversations and events such as Core Apparatus and Evermotion Mechanical Painting, the people of Fontaine are very supportive of technological advances such as robotics and inventions.

New Artifact Set

According to some leaks, Gemshin Impact will also release a new Domain artifact for Fontaine's character later.

The artifact set is Marechasse Hunter and Golden Troupe.

Marechausse Hunter is an artifact that can increase Charged Attack and Crit Rate when the character's HP changes.

The Golden Troupe is an artifact that can increase damage from a character's Elemental Skills.
