Fnatic ONIC Roster in MPL ID Season 14, Marsha Comeback!

Fnatic ONIC became the fourth team to officially announce their roster to compete in MPL ID Season 14 on August 9.

After Bigetron Alpha, Rebellion Esports and RRQ Hoshi has recently inaugurated its roster, now it is the Sky King's turn to be ready with its roster.

The Fnatic ONIC Season 14 roster has been announced in a 3-minute video uploaded via its YouTube Channel on July 27, 2024.

In the video, Fnatic ONIC gave a surprise to SONIC (Fnatic ONIC fans) which ended up being a big question mark.

Instead of being curious, let's just review the reveal roster from Fnatic ONIC which will appear in MPL ID Season 14. Who are the players?

Official Fnatic ONIC Roster Trailer in MPL ID Season 14

In about 2 weeks, Moonton's official A-Tier type MLBB tournament, namely MPL ID Season 14, will be held at the MPL Arena.

All the teams that will compete have of course prepared their best roster to compete in MPL ID this season, including the Sky King team aka Fnatic ONIC.

Fnatic ONIC has officially announced its roster through two roster video episodes uploaded July 27 and 28 2024 on its YouTube Channel.

The video with the title "Our Roster: Roster Fourteen" is 2 minutes 58 seconds long and is inspired by the opening credits of the film Cowboy Bebop which airs on Netflix.

The video concept was packaged in an interesting way by Fnatic ONIC, where the concept is like a 70-80s era film and combined with a retro tone that looks old school.

Even so, a concept like this makes the Fnatic ONIC trailer video even cooler and different from other teams.

This time, the Fnatic ONIC roster is featured as sports athletes such as boxers, arm wrestling, shooters, bartitsu players, basketball players, pull ups and weight lifters and badminton players.

The first person shown in the video is "Adi" Asyauri or Coach Adi as Assist Coach, he is a boxer athlete there.

Then, the second person who appears in the roster video is Coach Yeb or Paul "Yeb" Miranda as Head Coach, in the video he is an arm wrestling athlete.

The third player shown as a shooter in the roster video is Kairi Ygnacio Rayosdesol or "Kairi" as Jungler at Fnatic ONIC.

Furthermore, the fourth player who is spilled as a boxer in the video is Nicky “Kiboy” Fernando Pantonuwu, the mainstay Roamer at Fnatic ONIC.

An ONIC Fnatic player who is shown as a Bartitsu athlete with bald hair is Calvin “CW” Winata or CW as Gold Lane.

After Calvin “CW” Winata, there is a basketball athlete in the video roster, namely “Albert” Neilsen Iskandar as Jungler at Fnatic ONIC.

Please note that Alberttt often plays the role of Gold Lane and Jungler, but specifically in MPL ID Season 14, he is back to being the Jungler.

Next, the person who plays the role of pull up and weight lifting athlete in this roster video is Gilang "Sanz" the Mid Lane mainstay from Fnatic ONIC.

Finally, the player who acts as a badminton athlete in the roster video is the new rookie, namely "Lutpiii" Ardianto as Offlaner.

After the entire roster was announced, there was one EXP Laner player who was not included in the Fnatic ONIC roster for MPL ID Season 14.

Almost at the end of the video, Coach Yeb still needs one more player whose position is not yet known. If you look at the roster positions, it is almost complete, but the EXP Laner position is still empty.

Usually the EXP Laner position is filled by the captain of Fnatic ONIC, namely Muhammad “Butsss” Satrya Sanubari. However, he did not appear on the roster this time.

Of course, this makes all of SONIC wonder whether the EXP Laner position will be replaced with a new player or will still be filled by Butsss.

However, in the plot twist, Butsss's back appears at the end of the roster video which makes SONIC calm down a bit, but Butsss' presence there still leaves fans with a puzzle.

That way, the Fnatic ONIC roster video is still continuing and in the second roster video it is likely that it will complete the Fnatic ONIC roster in MPL ID Season 14.

 

Marsha Comeback

Whereas, Videos The second Fnatic ONIC roster is entitled “Veterans are Back!” which was uploaded on July 28 2024 at around 16:30 WIB.

In the video, you can see the figure of a new player who wants to join Fnatic ONIC. He is Steven “Marsha” Kurniawan, a former veteran Roamer who once joined EVOS Esports.

In the credits at the end of the video, it is stated that Marsha is included in the Fnatic ONIC roster in MPL ID Season 14 for the "Intern" position.

However, Butsss' name itself is not listed on the roster so this still has a question mark for SONIC.

Even so, of course this surprised the fans because Marsha's figure was present in the Sky King team which would make the roster composition stronger.

Of course, the whereabouts of Steven "Marsha" Kurniawan have been leaked by ONIC Kiboy through videos interview ESL Snap Dragon Season 5 APAC 2024.

Kiboy said, "Marsha, because the new captain is the term. Then, later Marsha will become a roamer, you could say my new rival. He can EXP Lane, Roam, Mid. There are three roles, how do you need them?"

Apart from that, Kiboy cannot provide certainty regarding Marsha's role in MPL ID Season 14 because it all depends on the Fnatic ONIC coach.

Butsss Absent

Previously, there were rumors that Butsss would not play in MPL ID Season 14. Many predicted that Butsss would become Fnatic ONIC Coach.

Apart from that, the EXP Laner position will also be replaced with a new player from another team and there are those who predict that Butsss will be transferred to another team until the farewell news.

This has been revealed in a tweets from @TXTMLBB which was posted on July 23 2024 which said "Thank you aa Butss".

Then in threads next, “Why are you watching IG now? The announcement is still later. "Rumor is that Buts won't be on the Fnoc roster next season, potential farewell (possible)."

Still on the same day, the account was created again tweets who said that “Fnoc rumors next season: Sanz, Kairi, Kiboy, Lutpii. CW, Steve, Alberttt. No Butss.”

However, this rumor is still confusing for Esports fans, because Butss is not playing in MPL ID Season (14) or MPL ID Season 15 later.

But there are still many who hope that these rumors are not true, butsss' presence in the Fnatic ONIC roster video can prove that these rumors are wrong.

However, the fact is that Butsss is present at the end of the video only as a cameo and his name is not present in the Fnatic ONIC MPL ID Season 14 roster that will compete.

On August 5, 2024, Fnatic ONIC released another videos which is a continuation of the first roster video which was uploaded on July 27 2024 yesterday.

Where in this last video, entitled "Captain Butsss: The Final Chapter", tells the story of Butsss' journey while at Fnatic ONIC.

This third video is really dramatic and quite sad, because at the beginning of the video Butsss asks Mars to pack his things.

Throughout the video, Butsss tidies up his things to move from GH Fnatic ONIC and he also holds back the items or merchandise he used during the MPL ID tournament.

Butsss brought a box containing his photos with the ONIC team at MPL ID, a scarf and an MPL ID ring as memories.

At the end of the video, he sits among the trophies he has won in national and international tournaments.

He said, “Gua Butsss, please leave. Entrust the ONIC team," he said while touching one of the MPL ID trophies.

The message still invites puzzles plus the message, "Good luck further! Captain Butsss, next stop: ???”.

Of course it would be a shame if Butsss farewell, but we still respect whatever decision he makes.

Therefore, many Esports fans, including SONIC, still hope that Butsss will continue his journey with Fnatic ONIC in the future.

Fnatic ONIC Roster in MPL ID Season 14

If you look at the official roster trailer released by ONIC Esports via its YouTube Channel on July 27 2024, Fnatic ONIC has prepared its roster troops for MPL ID Season 14, namely:

If we pay attention, the Fnatic ONIC roster that will appear in MPL ID this season actually has not changed from last season and at MSC 2024 yesterday.

However, please note that there are several positions on the roster that have changed slightly, such as the positions of Lutpiii and Albertttt.

Lutpiii as Fnatic ONIC's new rookie in MPL ID Season 13 replaced Butsss as EXP Laner.

However, this time Lutpiii is still part of the EXP laner by filling the Offlaner position.

Apart from Lutpiii, it turns out that Alberttt actually holds two positions, namely Jungler and Gold Laner, but in MPL ID Season 14 this time he is Jungler again.

Flashback of Fnatic ONIC's victory in MPL ID Season 13

As we know, Fnatic ONIC is the King of the Galaxy who won 4 consecutive wins at MPL Indonesia.

If we have a little flashback regarding Fnatic ONIC's victory in the Grand Final which was held on June 9 2024, the Sky King had to fight the White Tiger team aka EVOS Glory.

From the Best of 7 (BO7) format that should have been played, Fnatic ONIC only needed 6 matches to become champions in MPL ID Season 13 yesterday.

The reason is that since the first game, Fnatic ONIC immediately pressed EVOS Glory and this caused the White Tiger to make a mistake until the Sky King got 1-0.

In the second game, FNOC Lutpiii used Barats who picked off EVOS Anavel while taking advantage of a mistake from the White Tiger so that King Langit won with a score of 2-0.

In the third game, FNOC Kiboy used Arlott which made EVOS Glory freeze even more so that Fnatic ONIC won the score again with a score of 3-0.

Then in the fourth game, Fnatic ONIC experimented with its hero composition, but this ended up being a disaster for the Sky King.

EVOS DreamS' Franco managed to outwit the Fnatic hero ONIC so that the White Tiger got its first score with a score of 3-1.

Entering the fifth game, EVOS Glory were busy looking for kills and were very patient until the late game so they finally took advantage of Lord's presence which gave them points, namely 3-2.

The sixth game arrived, where Fnatic ONIC performed so well that EVOS Glory couldn't fight them again. Of course, this game was closed by Fnatic ONIC who succeeded in becoming King of Galaxy MPL ID Season 13 with a final score of 4-2.

Apart from being the King of the Galaxy, this game also produced the Most Valuable Player (MVP) who was crowned by CW as Gold Laner.

The Sky King also won individual awards from the "Qiddiya Legends" category, namely ONIC Sanz as Mid Laner, ONIC Kiboy as Roamer, ONIC Kairi as Jungler and ONIC Lutpiii as EXP Laner.

Finally, Fnatic ONIC also received an award in the Dream Team category which was dominated by Fnatic ONIC players, namely Onic Kairi, ONIC Kiboy, ONIC Sanz and ONIC Lutpi.

The Prize Pool obtained by Fnatic ONIC in MPL ID Season 13 yesterday was USD 336,500 or Rp. 5.4 billion and for MVP it is $2000 or Rp. 32.5 million.
