Fnatic ONIC Champion MPL ID S13, Unbeatable Sky King!

As we know that Fnatic ONIC always a subscriber to the Mobile Legends Professional League Indonesia champion (MPL ID), including the MPL ID S13.

Fnatic ONIC is the only team that has dominated and won four seasons of MPL ID in a row, after MPL ID S13 on October 15 2023 by defeating GEEK FAM who was able to get their “3Peat Champion” again.

Meeting EVOS Glory in the Upper Bracket Final on Friday 7 June 2024, Fnatic ONIC was able to beat the White Tiger team with a score of 3-0 without reply which was able to surprise the audience.

In the Grand Final of MPL ID S13 which was held at the Jakarta International Velodrome Stadium on Sunday 9 June 2024, Fnatic ONIC again won the title 'King of the Galaxy' for the fourth time after beating EVOS Glory with a score of 4-2.

Apart from being the King of the Galaxy in the 13th MPL Season, the team nicknamed the Heavenly Kings has also secured tickets for the Esports Mobile Legends Mid Season Cup or MSC 2024 first since the third day of the Playoff round on Friday, June 7 2024.

Not only did they win the title of King of the Galaxy for the fourth time, they bagged tickets for MSC 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and the Yellow Hedgehog team also took home a Prize Pool of USD 336,500 or Rp. 5.4 Billion.

MPL ID Season 11

In MPL ID Season 11, ONIC Esports has often dominated its wins from the Regular round to the PlayOff. Finally, ONIC Esports met EVOS Legends in the Grand Final of MPL ID Season 11 with a score of 4-0 without reply.

From the Best of 7 (BO7) format, where the match should have been played 7 times by both teams, it turned out that it only took 4 matches.

ONIC Esports succeeded in winning the title of King of the Galaxy MPL Indonesia S11 with a landslide score between ONIC Esports and EVOS Legends of 4-0 which the White Tiger could no longer respond to.

In the MPL ID S11 Grand Final match, ONIC Sanz became the Final MVP who at that time used the hero Valentina by getting a win rate of 100% even though he had only played 3 times.

MPL ID Season 13

In MPL ID S13, this could be said to be an extraordinary achievement from Fnatic ONIC because they managed to become MPL ID champions for 4 consecutive seasons without stopping since MPL ID Season 10.

In their last meeting in the Grand Final round, MPL ID S13 was able to make Fnatic ONIC the champion by beating EVOS Glory in 6 matches out of 7 matches.

Course of the Match

The match in the Grand Final of MPL ID Season 13 repeated the moment of the Grand Final of MPL ID Season 11, where Fnatic ONIC had to face EVOS Glory.

From the Best of 7 (BO7) format which should have been passed by both teams, but it only took 6 matches for Fnatic ONIC to become champions of this MPL ID S13.

In the first game, Fnatic ONIC immediately pressured EVOS Glory from the early game and EVOS Glory also had a moment to win the team fight, but there was a mistake from EVOS Glory so Fnatic ONIC was able to beat it in the first game with a score of 1-0.

Furthermore, in the second game, EVOS Glory held the early game with a better playing style compared to the first game. However, it was very unfortunate, FNOC Lutpiii, who used the hero Barats, picked off EVOS Anavel, taking advantage of a small mistake from EVOS so that the Yellow Hedgehog team won again with a score of 2-0.

Starting to enter the third game, both teams pressed since the early game took place. Hero Ling used by EVOS Anavel is able to provide a glimmer of hope because it does its job very well.

However, Ling's agility from EVOS Anavel was immediately anticipated by Fnatic ONIC, with the zoning carried out by Masha from FNOC Lutpiii making EVOS Branz unable to provide full damage.

Then FNOC Kiboy, who yesterday used the hero Arlott, was also able to make EVOS Glory not move so that the third game was won again by Fnatic ONIC with a score of 3-0.

With the hero Franco from EVOS DreamS he was able to outwit the heroes from Fnatic ONIC and in the end EVOS Glory got its first point with a score of 3-1.

Entering the fifth game, where EVOS Glory plays fighting and looking for kills, while Fnatic ONIC plays more objectively than the previous game.

Since the start of MPL ID Season 13, it turns out that there have been several moments that the players and even the fans (SONIC) may not forget.

According to dataindonesia.id, previously ONIC Esports won back to back at the last MPL ID S12. At the MPL ID S13 which was held from March 8 to June 9, the Yellow Hedgehog team retained its title of "King of the Galaxy" again.

Collaborate with Famous Esports Teams

Two days after the completion of the Regular Season round, on May 22 2024, ONIC Esports announced its collaboration with a well-known Esports team from London, England.

This was actually announced earlier by Fnatic via its X account on May 22 2024 and retweeted by ONIC Esports on the same day. Through post Accordingly, Fnatic posted a video containing the Fnatic, ONIC Esports and ONIC Philippines logos.

Then on May 27 2024, ONIC Esports posted a collaboration teaser reel on its Instagram account containing a video of the ONIC Esports MLBB tournament accompanied by the caption "We are very happy to announce the collaboration between FNATIC and ONIC MPL in the MLBB division. Get ready for a new era @fnatic @onic.esports | We are excited to announce the official collaboration of FNATIC and ONIC in the MLBB division. Get ready for the new era of @fnatic @onic.esports @mpl.id.official”.

From its collaboration with Fnatic, ONIC Esports used the name "Fnatic" as the first name of its team which was used during the MPL ID Season 13 Playoff round, both the team name and player name became "FNOC".

Securing MSC 2024 Tickets

In the Upper Bracket Final Playoff round on the third day which was held on Friday, June 7 2024, Fnatic ONIC managed to defeat EVOS Legends with a landslide score of 3-0.

From Fnatic's victory, ONIC was able to bag tickets to the MSC or Mobile Legends Mid Season Cup 2024 which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 28 June – 14 July 2024.

Please note that MSC 2024 has a total Prize Pool of $3,000,000 or Rp. 48 trillion. Previously, at MSC 2023 which was held on 10 – 16 June 2023, ONIC Esports became the champion by taking home a total Prize Pool of $300,000 or Rp. 4.8 billion.

Butss Becomes Co-Coach

Since the announcement of the new Rookie on March 28 2024 via an Instagram post @onic.esports, namely ONIC Lutpiii, who was transferred from ONIC Prodigy MDL to the ONIC MPL team, Butsss' role as EXP Laner will be replaced by ONIC Lutpiii.

ONIC Lutpiii as a Rookie player playing in MPL Season 13 actually still needs a lot of guidance from the Coaches, both Coach Yeb, Co-Coach Adi even ONIC Butsss himself to guide Lutpiii in the tournament.

So, since ONIC Lutpiii made his debut in the MPL ID Season 13 Regular Week 4 round which was held on March 29 2024, ONIC Butsss did not play for the first time in MPL ID in history and of course this was replaced by ONIC Lutpiii.

Every time he is interviewed by casters or the media, ONIC Lutpiii always calls Butsss "Coach Butsss" because he always gives him advice or advice.

Even though ONIC Lutpiii did not become "Rookie of the Year", he was given the nickname "The Rising Star - The Baby Sky King" by MLBB Esports via his Instagram post on June 10 2024.

This is proven by the world's recognition of ONIC Lutpiii's ability as a new Rookie who replaced ONIC Butsss in the middle of the season and he is believed to be a good ONIC player and can cover the shortcomings of the ONIC team itself.

Apart from that, having experience as an EXP Lane and coordinating well with Fnatic ONIC helped ONIC Lutpiii to win the title of "King of the Galaxy" MPL ID for his first A-Tier tournament.

CW Becomes MVP

As one of the Fnatic ONIC players who is often called CW or Calvin Winata, he received an award as the best player or Most Valuable Player (MVP) throughout the match.

CW, acting as Gold Lane in Fnatic ONIC, was able to perform impressively and aggressively for his team's victory and this was finally proven during the coronation of awards at the end of the Grand Final of MPL ID Season 13 which deserved a thumbs up.

He became MVP thanks to his hero Claude so he managed to win for Fnatic ONIC and won a prize of $2000 or Rp. 32.5 million.

Calvin Winata or CW is one of the Fnatic ONIC players who always entertains SONIC. The reason is, if you peek through his Instagram account (@calvinwinataa), he always provides very funny and entertaining jokes.

It should also be noted that after winning the match in MPL ID Season 13, CW always made the audience and casters laugh. He often gives rhymes when he finishes an interview with the caster.

Wins Category "1st & 2nd Qiddiya Legends Team"

Apart from being King of the Galaxy 4 times in a row and winning the Prize Pool of USD 336,500 or Rp. 5.4 billion, it turns out Fnatic ONIC also got an individual award, you know.

One of the individual awards from the "Qiddiya Legends" category is the best player in each role. For the Fnatic ONIC players who managed to win this category, there was ONIC Sanz as Mid Laner and ONIC Kiboy as a Roamer in "1st Team Qiddiya Legends".

Meanwhile, the next category for "Qiddiya Legends" is ONIC Kairi as Jungler and ONIC Lutpiii as EXP Laner who is in the "2nd Team Qiddiya Legends".

Wins "Dream Team of The Season" Category

The final category in MPL ID Season 13 is "Dream Team" which is dominated by Fnatic ONIC players and 1 more position is filled by RRQ players. The Dream Team is a dream team chosen from the results of fan voting and the five players selected are:

ONIC Kairi as Jungler got 28,545 votes, ONIC Kiboy as Roamer got 23,799 votes, ONIC Lutpiii as EXP Laner got 22,173 votes.

Meanwhile, ONIC Sanz as Mid Laner received 16,339 votes and RRQ Skylar as Gold Laner received 23,285 votes, becoming the only player from another team in the "Dream Team" category.
