Top 5 Features in Minecraft 1.20 Update

Minecraft 1.20

Updates Minecraft 1.20 is likely to be a major update, especially after the success of The Wild. Many of the best features will be included in it.

Due to the current size of the game, most of the Minecraft 1.20 updates came out with fewer features than expected.

Of the new additions in 1.19, only the Mangrove biome should be out during this patch, all Deep Dark Biomes and Ancient Town are from the previous cave and cliff update (which was divided into 2 parts).

In this article, we will highlight the 5 features that are most likely to appear in the Minecraft 1.20 update.

List of New Features in Minecraft 1.20

The Minecraft 1.19 update has just been released and has been a huge success. The new features, namely Deep Dark, mud blocks, Allays, and Warden, quickly became very popular. Frogs are a mob fan favorite, despite being a small part of the update.

Despite the novelty of Wild Update and its quality, players can't help but look forward to what's to come. The minecraft 1.20 update is finally coming, and crafters are excited about what's possible for them.

Ancient City Portal

The new Ancient City is perhaps the most interesting addition to Minecraft 1.20. They are a lot of fun to explore and their treasures are priceless.

Among the structures in the Ancient City, the strangest one is probably the strange looking portal. It is a large hollow structure that looks like portals and windows in the center of an ancient city.

Furthermore, this portal area was composed of reinforced deep slate blocks, which were 10 times stronger than obsidian. Similar to the blocks that make up the End Portal, you cannot mine and get reinforced slate.

Breaking it down takes 80 seconds. If Mojang is going to expand on the concept of deep darkness in minecraft 1.20, this portal will definitely play a part.

The Ancient City has been one of the most interesting aspects of update 1.19. They quickly became the best structures in the game, and they were a lot of fun to find. These structures are dangerous, but the loot is more than worth it.

Biome Improvements

Biome

Mojang has included many biomes in the upgrade list, with Desert, Savannah and Badlands being top candidates.

They will come with their own exclusive new mobs and blocks, similar to the Mangrove Swamp. However, it is too early to predict which one will be part of minecraft 1.20.

Beyond the immediate biome upgrades, Mojang could also add more village variants to the biomes, as this has been one of the most requested features for some time now.

Many Minecraft gamers believe that some biomes need improvement. Desert, Badlands, and more could all use an update.

The desert can be updated to add an oasis instead of a useless desert well. Badlands can be given structures, such as saloons or ghost towns.

Almost every biome could use at least a little upgrade. A simple addition could be adding a specific village to each biome so that the Badlands, Mangrove Swamps, and even Mushroom Farm can have unique villages. Perhaps the 1.20 update will finally answer players' calls.

Different Wolf Species

Warden

The wolf or the dog is one of the most useful monsters in Minecraft – it is the only monster players can tame to fight together. However, wolves do not have any variants.

Unlike cats (of which there are a dozen species), wolves can only be gray. Mojang can definitely fix this problem in the next updates by adding more wolf variants for players to tame.

Wolves are one of the best monsters in Minecraft because they can be tamed and basically become dogs. Cats only have one distinct advantage over them: there are so many different species.

Cats can be brown, orange, white, black, gray and many other colors. Wolves are just gray.

Adding new species of wolves or the ability to color them brown, black or some other standard color would be a great update. These animals deserve to be treated like cats, and Minecraft users deserve to have an army of wolves that look different.

Spectator Mode

Ice

Spectator Mode is featured in Minecraft which allows the player to "watch" the world in an ethereal way, giving them the ability to fly through any object, surface, or entity in the world.

It was accidentally revealed during 1.19 beta. This feature was previously a Java exclusive but is coming to Bedrock soon.

Apparently, it wasn't finished in time for 1.19 and will be polished to come out in minecraft 1.20 or later. Apparently, Bedrock players will get access to spectator mode as Switch Experimental in the upcoming beta.

Bundle

Mobs Minecraft

Bundles are storage items that can be used to manage items in a player's inventory and allow combinations of several item types in a single inventory slot.

They were announced a while ago but keep getting delayed. Minecraft version 1.20 is probably where Mojang finally added this feature to the game.
