Cool character design and skills which is capable of almost every roles in Genshin Impact, Beidou is quite liked by players, including writers.

Different Attack Animations from Other 4 Stars

The first detail that will be discussed regarding Genshin Impact Beidou is the animation detail of this character.

If you notice, all 4 star characters who use Claymore weapons have similarities in the Charged Attack animation.

Almost all 4 star characters like Chongyun, Glazed, or Razor will spin 360 degrees like a top when you use Charged Attack.

Beidou has a distinctive move which is similar to Claymore's Normal Attack in the form of a slash.

The total number of Charged Attack Genshin Impact Beidou based on the author's calculations is 10, where the last slash has an AoE or a very large area of attack.

Beidou's Charged Attack might be considered similar to xinyan.

Xinyan has less number of slashes compared to Beidou where as Beidou has more.

The Captain of a Pirate Ship Who Is Loved by Many People

Genshin Impact Beidou is told as a leader or captain of a pirate with a group called The Crux Fleet.

Beidou is known as a strong, cool, fun personality, and can get along with everyone.

If you chat with the NPCs in The Alcor, you can find out how Beidou is very famous and respected by members of The Crux Fleet.

The Alcor is a warship anchored south of Guyun Stone Forest. 

The Crux fleet is mentioned in Diary of Roald the Adventurer: Guyun Stone Forest which you can find in Liyue.

Told that traveler This Roald saw The Crux's fleet leaving and wondered what mission the Qixing Commerce Guild had entrusted to the pirates.

All of Crux's crew members aboard the Alcor mention him; especially, Furong had great respect for Genshin Impact Beidou.

Meanwhile, another NPC named Little Yue was raised by Beidou after her parents, who were members of Crux, died during an expedition.  Zhang Shun, a former member of Crux, also mentioned his name.

Kaedehara Kazuha who is a crew member also shared that he really respects Genshin Impact Beidou.

Very Strong Even Without Vision

Genshin Impact Beidou is known to have an unhappy childhood.

Beidou grew up in a small fishing village called Downriver and has a childhood friend named Xiling. 

The village chief of Downriver felt sorry for the homeless Beidou and took him to live in the village. 

But a year or two after his arrival, the head of the village fell ill and died. 

During the same period, the harvest is getting worse and the other villagers attack Beidou, claiming that he is an omen of bad luck, and banish him from the village.

If you stop by Tea Master Liu Su in Liyue, you will get a story about how powerful Beidou is.

Tea Master Liu Su related the legend that Beidou fought Haishan, a sea Leviathan that was hard to beat.

Although the story is a bit exaggerated and contrived, Liu Su said that Genshin Impact Beidou was a 6 foot tall male.

Beidou is known after defeating Haishan, just got his Vision. So you can imagine how powerful Beidou would be without Vision. 

Have Interesting Relationship with Ningguang

It's no secret that Genshin Impact Beidou is said to have a bad relationship with The Qixing, the government that governs Liyue.

It's even said that Beidou in particular lacks a bad relationship with Tianquan alias Ningguang.

This is quite unique because the name Genshin Impact Beidou is taken from Mandarin, which means Big Dipper.

The Big Dipper, also known as the constellation Ursa Major, is one of the 7 main star constellations in the astronomical world.

This Big Dipper connects 7 specific stars. This is in accordance with the meaning of the name The Qixing which in Mandarin means 7 stars.

The cons between Beidou and The Qixing, especially with Ningguang, is that Beidou often violates the rules made by The Qixing.

However, both Ningguang and Beidou often work together. An example is at events in patches 2.4 otherwise known as events Lantern Rite Liyue Festival.

After the Jade Chamber fell, all of Ningguang's things were scattered in the sea.

Ningguang is known to have asked Beidou to save the item and Beidou will be given a sizable reward.

There are many examples of the few times Ningguang asked Beidou to help, quite unique isn't it and means that their relationship can be said to be quite good.

It is also said that these two characters often play chess together which indicates that the two of them have a fairly close relationship.
