Explanation of Skills, Combos and Mechanics of Zhuxin: MLBB's Newest Mage Hero!

Zhuxin Skills, Combos and Mechanics

If previously we discussed build spells, emblems and items, now it's our turn to discuss the skills, combos and mechanics of Zhuxin the newest mage from MLBB.

This hero was officially released by Moonton on June 29, as a continuation of the implementation of the 1.8.92 patch update which was live on June 19. So, for those who are curious about the details of the hero, check it out!

We start discussing the details of the hero and the Zhuxin mechanic. If categorized, Zhuxin himself is a ranged hero with a close-mid range.

For the area of effect it provides (AoE), the distance given by the mage is quite minimal. This is because Zhuxin is a mid laner who tends to be a crowd control (CC) rather than a damage dealer.

All of his skills are only able to target enemies who enter the line of sight (LoS). Especially for the Ulti, you even have to position yourself in the middle of the enemy's setup to be effective.

So to be able to maximize his presence in the team, having a tank roamer with CC with a wide AoE capacity is a wise setup. That way, Zhuxin is not easily picked off and can do combos.

Tanks like Minotaur, Tigreal, Belerick, Gatotkaca, Terizla, Fredrinn, and Lolita, will be a good draft combination! Avoid picking Zhuxin if there is no tank (either core or roamer) to be the "body" of the team.

The next discussion is Zhuxin skills. The number of skills of this mage itself is not too different from most heroes that have existed before Land of Dawn.

There are three active skills and one passive skill, where each skill prioritizes CC, buff-debuff and stack effects. Here is the explanation:

  • (Passive) Crimson Butterflies

The essence of the passive skill is to convert Mana into a stack that is used for the CC skill 2 (Soul Snare) effect. Because of this, the use of Mana will be very wasteful.

Even so, this passive will also help regenerate Mana Zhuxin quite quickly when skill 2 is not used. The Mana regeneration speed is similar to returning to the "well" at the base.

  • (Skill 1) Fluttering Grace

With AoE in the shape of a fan the size of skill 2 Aurora, and deals magic damage. Not only that, he will also steal the opponent's movement speed and embed a stack of Soul Snare.

  • (Skill 2) Lantern Flare

This is Zhuxin's main skill in providing CC effects. To activate this skill, the skill indicator must be pressed and aimed at the desired position.

Apart from dealing magic damage, the enemy also gets a Soul Snare stack. When this stack is full (10 stacks), the target will be airborne for 1 second, and can be thrown in the desired direction (initiator).

Enemies that are thrown will count as a projectile (like Jawhead's skill 2, although it doesn't have a stun effect): other enemies that are hit will also take damage.

With this skill, Zhuxin's Mana will continue to drain. The reduction will be exactly like Alice's Ultimate skill, and Hylos' 2 skill.

  • (Ultimate Skill) Crimson Beacon

Zhuxin will blink in the direction of the skill indicator, then emit a shield (white blood). Around him (in the shape of a circle) there will also be an AoE for the effect of his Ulti, lasting for 6 seconds.

Enemies who enter the AoE will be hit by magic damage and get one stack of Soul Snare every second. That way, as long as this skill lasts, a maximum of 6 stacks can be generated by this Ulti.

Zhuxin Skill Combo

From the explanation above, you can certainly see a picture of the combo. The use of skill 1 and its Ulti needs to be prioritized so that the CC effect of skill 2 can be triggered.

For this reason, start by using skill 1 first. The enemy will become slow and will have one stack of Soul Snare.

You can follow up this condition by chasing the affected enemy using skill 2. When you succeed in making the target airborne, throw the enemy (initiator) closer to the range of the Ulti skill.

Close with the Ulti skill while continuing to launch combo skills 1 and 2 (assuming you still have enough mana and there is follow up from team members).
