The First Slam Dunk follows the story of one of the main players, Ryota Miyagi, the point guard of the Shohoku High School basketball team.
Ryota, who was born and raised in Okinawa, has an older brother who is three years older than him.

In his second year of high school, Ryota joined the Shohoku basketball team and became a team with Sakuragi, Rukawa, Akagi, and Mitsui.

Good news, Toei Animation will soon release a Blu-Ray version for the anime film The First Slam Dunk which will be released on February 28 2024 in Japan.
Through website Officially, Toei will release this film in 3 versions, namely 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Standard Blu-ray and DVD.
In addition, the Limited Edition and Special Limited Edition versions of the film will be sold exclusively at The First Slam Dunk's official online store and Toei Video's official store.
Interestingly, both versions will be equipped with merchandise officially as a bonus for loyal Slam Dunk fans.
