Barn in Stardew Valley

Same as Sheds, Barn also has a room capacity that can be used to accommodate something. Specifically, the Barn itself is used as a place to keep various livestock.

Before you create building This one is in Stardew Valley, let's look at the information you need to know about the following Barn.

Types of Stardew Valley Barns

This building has three types, namely Barn, Big Barn, and Deluxe barn which are differentiated based on their storage capacity.

An ordinary barn has the smallest storage capacity, namely 4 slots and can only be used to accommodate cows and ostriches.

As a barn with the smallest capacity, an ordinary barn is only equipped with two pieces of equipment, namely a Hay Hopper and a Feeding Bench.

Meanwhile, Big Barn is a medium capacity barn that can accommodate up to 8 slots. You can use it to house cows, goats, and ostriches.

With a wider capacity, the Big Barn also has additional features that allow livestock to breed.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Barn is a barn with the largest capacity, namely 12 slots and can be used for cows, goats, ostriches, sheep and pigs.

For the Deluxe Barn, this barn has a Hay Hopper and Feeding Bench which is equipped with an automatic feeding feature and allows livestock to breed.

Animals in the Barn can get trapped outside at night if the door is closed. If they stay out all night, they will be in a grumpy mood the next day.

Apart from that, livestock that are outside their cages at night are also very likely to be targets of attacks by wild animals. So, make sure everyone is inside when night falls!

How to Make a Barn in Stardew Valley

After knowing the types, now is the time to learn how to make a Barn in Stardew Valley.

To make it, you can visit Robin's Carpenter's Shop at his house. This shop is open every day from 9 am – 5 pm except Tuesdays and closes earlier on Fridays.

When you first make a Barn, you need 350 Wood, 150 Stone and 6000g of money. The time required to build it is 3 days.

During the Barn construction process, you can find Robin inside the building. However, you cannot talk to him or give him gifts.

If you want to upgrade the Barn to Big Barn, you need 450 Wood, 200 Stone, and 12000g of money.

Meanwhile, to upgrade the Big Barn building to a Deluxe Barn, you need 550 Wood, 300 Stone and 25,000g of money.

Every time you upgrade the Barn, it takes two days to complete the building process.

The total cost you will spend to make a Deluxe Barn from scratch is 1350 Wood, 650 Stone, and 43000g.
