PON XX Papua 2021: DKI Jakarta Esport Athlete Contingent

PON XX Papua 2021

PON XX Papua 2021 is a national scale sports event which will take place from 2 October to 15 October 2020, Papua Province will be the host of this prestigious event.

The main location for holding the 2021 XX Papua PON is at the Lukas Enembe Stadium. The stadium became the main location from the opening ceremony to the closing ceremony of this event.

Previously, the 2021 XX Papua PON event would be held in 2020. However, the event was delayed until 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The total number of sports that will be competed in this event is 56 sports. PON XX Papua 2021 will be held in 4 regions, namely Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, Mimika Regency and Merauke Regency.

“People Can!” This is the slogan raised at the 2021 PON XX Papua event. This slogan is a form of encouragement typical of the Papuan people. “Torang Can!” is one of the phrases in Traditional Papuan Language which means "we can".

The mascots of PON XX Papua are kangaroos and birds of paradise. Kangaroo animals and typical Papuan trees are combined into kangaroos and trees, which are short for Kangpo.

Kangpo uses fringe on the head and waist which is a representation of oversized clothing from Papua, which is complemented by carvings on the belt.

This Kangpo mascot is also equipped with a typical Papuan icon, namely the Jayawijaya Mountains, which is placed on the front of the crown.

The second mascot is a bird of paradise named Drawa. Just like Kangpo, Drawa also has a crown and tassels. Drawa's chest is also equipped with a red strap and a white strap. The orange color on the inside of Drawa's body is a symbol of warmth, friendship and love.

In Drawa's body there is a yellow color that represents the color of paradise which symbolizes enthusiasm and joy. The number of wings, tail, and toes on both of Drawa's feet represents the original opening schedule for the 2020 PON, namely October 20, 2020, at 20.00 WIT.

Esport standings standings Free Fire DKI Jakarta province occupies the top position with a total of 21 gold acquisitions. Followed by the province of Papua which occupies the second position with a total of 16 gold acquisitions. And in third position is the province of West Java with 9 gold acquisitions.

PBESI at PON XX PAPUA 2021

New history has occurred in the world of Esports at the PON XX Papua event. The reason is, this time PON is holding a new sport, namely esport which is joining exhibition sports.

It is hoped that the presence of this sport at PON XX Papua will provide an opportunity for Esports lovers to compete and bring the name of their respective provinces.

The presence of eSports at the PON (National Sports Week) event is also a place for PBESI to look for potential athletes in esports across Indonesia.

On Wednesday (18/8/2021), the Indonesian Esports Council (PBESI) held a virtual press conference regarding the esports branch in the 2021 PON XX Papua event.

The chief executive of the 2021 PON XX Papua exhibition, Glorya Famiela explained that there were four games which will be contested are Free Fire, Mobile Legends, E-football PES, and Lokapala.

Then, Who Are the Contingent of Garena Free Fire DKI Jakarta Esport Athletes at the 2021 PON XX Papua Event?

DKI Jakarta Province has conducted a series of qualifying tournaments to find representatives who will fight in the 2021 PON XX Papua in the branch Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, eFootball PES 2021, and Free Fire.

The following is a list of Esports athletes who will represent DKI Jakarta for the Esports exhibition at the 2021 PON XX Papua in each of its branches.

Muhammad Haikal (14 years)

Muhammad Haikal, a teenager who is still 14 years old, is the youngest contingent from DKI Jakarta to represent Free Fire Esports athletes at PON XX PAPUA 2021, you know!

Haikal is part of the FFID team. FFID team is a team consisting of a community of Free Fire lovers.

Muhammad Rafli Setiawan (13 years)

Rafli is the youngest athlete in Esports. A teenager who is 13 years old Currently, he has been fond of playing Free Fire since he was 11 years old. Rafli plays as an attacker in his team.

Luthfan Aufa Faqih (23 years)

The next player is Luthfan Aufa Faqih who is still 23 years old. Luthfan will strengthen the Free Fire team with three other teammates.

Muladi Ahmad Yasin (20 years)

Muladi Ahmad Yasin is a 20 year old player. He is part of the indostars project, which discusses the Free Fire game.
