Ghost Recon Breakpoint Story Background
Before looking at the differences between the three versions of this game, it's a good idea to first know the background story of Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
The game is set in 2025, six years after the game Wildlands and a year after Future Soldier.
The story in this game takes place on Auroa, a fictional island in the South Pacific. This island is owned by a philanthropic billionaire businessman named Jace Skell.
He is also the founder of Stell Technology, a large company that produces drones for commercial use.
Not only that, the company achieved success as a military contractor for the United States government.
Skell bought Auroa with the hope of turning it into a center for the design, development and production of AI and drone technology that he calls “World 2.0”.
The main antagonist in this game is a former Ghost Lieutenant Colonel named Cole D. Walker who became a criminal after leaving the military.
After seeing his team massacred on a mission in Bolivia, Walker came to believe that the American government did not care about the lives of its soldiers.
A private military contractor called Sentinel has taken control of the island under Walker's command while Walker himself is leading his army of "Wolves".
