CS2 update January 2024

Since it first came out, Counter Strike 2 has received many updates from Valve, as the main developer.

Various patch updates have been carried out to create a memorable playing experience for each player.

The development concept is based on their previous game which was released in 1999, with a similar title, namely Counter Strike. What makes it different is the fresh features and visuals that are supported by engine system latest.

Other features such as changing the direction of the smoke bomb when it is detonated will result in tactical changes for the players. The addition of several new maps in Counter Strike 2 will more or less affect the gameplay.

In the announcement broadcast by Valve, Sunday (07/01), it was stated that support for devices with the Mac OS system would be eliminated.

Remember, the number of players who use this device is less than one percent of the population of the total.

The transition was made to support devices with Windows and Linux 64 bit drive systems.

"As technology advances, we made the very difficult decision to stop supporting older types of hardware, including DirectX 9 and 32-bit operating systems," continued Valve.

Update CS2 Patch Note 5 January 2024

There are a number of things that are updated in this update. Here are the details:

[UI]

• Fixed the delay that occurred when opening the map in loading menu
• Repair item bugs unusable is visible in the menu loadout
• Repair item bugs which cannot be removed in the menu loadout
• Repair item bugs on the menu loadout which can't be done save if the game suddenly exits by itself
• Fixed a synchronization delay bug on the loadout menu and main menu characters

[MISC]

• Fixed a visual issue that could not be played back in the demo menu
• Fixed the issue of animated visuals not being able to be played back on the CSTV Broadcast menu
• Fixed community sticker fit to align with Counter Strike Global Operation (CS:GO)

[MAPS]

Ancient:

• Added simplified grenade collision to corner pieces and center pillar in site B.

Anubis:

• Adapt clipping on on A site between walkways and heaven

Vertigo:

• Repair gaps geometry on the vertigo map
