All the characters in Genshin Impact have lots of hidden stories, including character stories, voiceovers, and character name cards. Players can unlock this content by increasing a character's friendship level, meaning travel bonds with them.

However, increasing Companionship EXP can be quite tedious, especially if you want to work on multiple characters. In this article, VCGamers will show you how to farm Companionship EXP in Genshin Impact.

Farm Companionship EXP Tricks

Do Daily Commissions

Daily Commissions are a great way to earn Companionship EXP. Based on their rank, players can earn up to 60 EXP from each commission and 100 EXP daily from bonus rewards for completing all Daily Commissions. Therefore, make sure to do all commissions every day.

Players can check the available Daily Commissions on the Quest Menu Screen. Apart from that, you can also earn 10 – 15 Companionship EXP by completing random events in the open world.

Remember to switch to the character you want to befriend before completing the commission. Fallen characters can still gain and receive the same amount of Friendship EXP as long as they remain on the active party member list.

Collect Realm Bounty (Serenitea Pot)

Players can earn a certain amount of Realm Bounty through the Housing System every hour, depending on their Adeptal Energy level. Once collected, Realm Bounty will be immediately converted into Companionship EXP for the deployed character.

Remember to use the character you want to grind to get friendship level. With 12,000 Adeptal Energy, characters gain 5 Companionship EXP every hour.

There are several thoughts on the most efficient way to increase a character's Friendship EXP in Genshin Impact. If a player leads a busy life and can't play often, then Serenite Pot is worth farming Companionship EXP.

Travelers must have opened the Serenite Pot to properly take advantage of this feature, and then unlock Realm Dispatch afterward. To place a character here, click on the icon near the top that resembles a hand pointing to the top left.

As long as the load isn't full (indicated by a red circle near 'Load'), they can place multiple characters.

Spend Resin

Every time players spend Resin, they will get friendship EXP in return. Output varies from challenge to challenge, however.

For example, an abbreviation of Ley Line like Blossoms of Wealth and Revelation gives a maximum of 20 EXP. The Normal and Weekly Bosses are more efficient – bringing up to 45 and 70 EXP respectively.

Players can also gain friendship EXP by clearing domains. On maximum difficulty, they earn 20 EXP per clear.

Play Collaboration

Players can get double the amount of friendly EXP in co-op mode. Usually, exp is shared between all party members, and in co-op, it's distributed among 2 characters instead of 4.

This method resulted in double the EXP gain rate, but the same amount of EXP generally. Players can level up certain characters more quickly by playing co-op, but their general advantages will be the same. However, it won't work if you play co-op mode with three other players.

Farm in Random Events

As mentioned above, completing random events in Genshin Impact can earn players some Friendly EXP. However, not all random events are created equal, as some appear repeatedly every time you restart the game.

Players can do a special event called 'Warden of Konda' which can be completed ten times a day to get 150 friendship EXP each day. It also works in Co-Op mode, which doubles EXP to 300.

This event is super quick to complete – it only requires travelers to scare off some pigeons. Just equip the characters bow and shoot them to complete the task. After that, return to the event location and relaunch the game.

In addition, there are other random events that players can complete for friendship EXP on Inazuma City. This works the same way as the previously mentioned event – just restart the game to do it again.

Genshin Impact players earn Companionship EXP through various activities, which will increase the character's friendship level.

There are some limitations to this method. Boss, Domain, and Ley Line Outcrops use Original Resin, meaning players who run out of this currency have to wait for a restock. Or, you have to use some items to continue farming Companionship EXP in this way.

There are only four Commissions each day, meaning there are limited opportunities to do so. Likewise, Genshin Impact players can only perform up to ten Random Events a day.

There are ten Friendship Levels in total, each requiring exponentially higher Friendship EXP per level.
