Sushang Honkai Star Rail Build Recommendations

This article will cover all the recommendations build starting from priority traces, light cones, relics, to team recommendations that are suitable for build Sushang Honkai Star Rail.

This is adjusted to all the components that existed when this article was released where the development of Relic and Light Cone will continue to increase along with the Honkai Star Rail update.

Material Talent and Character Ascension Sushang

Character ascension Sushang will need Artifex's Module, Artifex's Cogwheel, Artifex's Gyreheart, and the Broken Teeth of Iron Wolf. You can get Broken Teeth of Iron Wolf from dropping Great Mine: Stagnant Shadow.

Traces Sushang will need Hunt path materials: Arrow of the Beast Hunter, Arrow of the Demon Slayer, and Arrow of the Starchaser as well as Artifex's Module, Artifex's Cogwheel, and Artifex's Gyreheart,

Also, for Trace level 5++, Sushang will need the Guardian's Lament which you get from Cocolia (Echo of War: End of the Eternal Freeze).

Best Eidolon for Build Sushang Honkai Star Rail

Sushang according to VCGamers is very good when you have this character in Eidolon 0 (E(0)). 

All of Sushang's Eidolons provide significant advantages helping Sushang's abilities to be more optimal.

We consider that Eidolon 2 (E(2)) is more optimal than Eidolon 1, which is minimal if you want Eidolon build Sushang. Then, E(4) is the best Eidolon for Sushang.

In E(2), the damage Sushang takes will be reduced. Meanwhile, E(4) increases the Break Effect.

Priority Trace for Build Sushang Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail's character abilities are divided into: Basic ATK, Technique, Skill, Talent, and Ultimate.

Sushang's Basic ATK is Cloudfencer Art: Starshine will give Physical DMG which is calculated from the percentage of Sushang's ATK. This ATK will deal damage to one enemy target.

Sushang's talent is Dancing Blade, Sushang will get SPD increase for 2 turns after the enemy gets Weakness Break.

The talent will be triggered if Sushang becomes the target of a character's ability in the party. This effect can be triggered again after 2 turns.

Technique Sushang namely Cloudfencer Art: Warcry, Sushang was about to attack the enemy. When entering battle mode, Sushang deals Physical DMG which is calculated from the percentage of Sushang's ATK for all enemies.

Sushang's skill is Cloudfencer Art: Mountainfall, Sushang will give Physical DMG to one enemy target.

In addition, Sushang would have a chance to trigger Sword Stance on the last attack. 

Sword Stance will provide additional Physical DMG. If the enemy is hit by Weakness Break, Sword Stance 100% is guaranteed to be triggered.

Ultimate Sushang namely Shape of Taixu: Dawn Herald, Sushang will give Physical DMG equal to Sushang's ATK percentage to one enemy and immediately get Advance Forward 100%. 

Advance Forward is a stat that can give characters like Sushang more turn opportunities.

In addition, Sushang's ATK increased. After using Ultimate, when you use Skill directly it will give Sushang an additional chance to trigger Sword Stance for 2 turns with greater DMG.

VCGamers recommends that you prioritize Ultimate = Skill > Basic ATK > Technique = Talent.

As a Hunt path character, Sushang's build is focused on dealing as much DMG as possible. So, Ultimate and Skills that provide the greatest DMG from Sushang's kit, you must maximize the character's Trace level.

Relic Recommendations for Build Sushang Honkai Star Rail

Stats what you should prioritize for Sushang Honkai Star Rail are ATK, Crit DMG/Rate, Physical DMG Boost. That's because Sushang will need enough ATK to deal massive DMG.

Stats Break Effects, Effect Hit Rate, and SPD can also be sub stats that you prioritize for building Sushang to optimize attacks, especially increasing Weakness Break DMG.

The Relic Set in the Honkai Star Rail game is divided into 2 slots, namely: 

• Cavern Relic which can be obtained in the Cavern of Corrosion
• Planar Ornament which can be obtained from Simulated Universe

Champion of Streetwise Boxing and Musketeer of Wild Wheat are the two recommended Cavern Relic sets for Suhsang. You can use the two Relics separately to become a full set or combined into 2-PC each.

Champion of Streetwise Boxing 2-PC will provide an additional Physical DMG Boost of 10% and using 4-PC can increase ATK by a maximum stack of 5 ATK stacks of 5% on each stack for 3 turns.

2-PC Musketeer of Wild Wheat increases the ATK required for Sushang's scaling skills. Using 4-PC will increase SPD 6% and Basic ATK DMG by 10%.

Space Sealing Station and Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is the Planar Ornament set recommended for Sushang.

Using 2-PC Space Sealing Station will temporarily increase ATK and SPD Talia: Kingdom of Banditry will increase Break Effect and the character's SPD will increase Break Effect as well.

Light Cone Recommendations for Build Sushang Honkai Star Rail

Light Cones which is recommended for Sushang you can adjust depending on what you have. Broadly speaking, all Light Cone Hunts of any rarity.

At 5 star rarity, In The Night and Sleep Like the Dead is the best Light Cone for Sushang so far. You can also use Cruising in the Stellar Sea which you can get from trading in Herta's Shop (Simulated Universe).

Swordplay, Only Silence Remains, Subscribe for More!, River Flows in Spring is an example of a 4 star Light Cone option that is perfect for Sushang.

3 star Light Cones Arrows or Darting Arrows can be an initial option for novice players.

Recommended Team Composition (Party Setup) for Build Sushang Honkai Star Rail

Sushang is one of the DPS characters that is very build friendly for new players. In terms of team comps, Sushang has needs that are easy to understand.

Characters in Sushang's team comps have priority to keep Sushang from dying quickly and increase DMG either by enemy debuffs or Sushang's stat buffs.

The team combinations that you can use for Sushang are:

• Team comps 1: Sushang + Harmony path character + Abundance path character + Preservation path character

           Team example: Sushang, Asta, Natasha, and March 7th.

• Team comps 2: Sushang + Nihility path character + Abundance path character + Preservation path character

           Example teams: Sushang, Welt, Natasha, and Trailblazer Preservation.

• Team comps 3: Sushang + Erudition path character + Abundance path character + Preservation path character

           Example teams: Sushang, Serval, Tingyun, and Gepard.

Team Comps 1 and 2 are combinations of team characters to fight against a limited number of enemies such as Elite Bosses.

Meanwhile, Team Comps 3 is intended to fight enemies who have a large number so that it speeds up the depletion of enemies.
