Kael the Invoker

QQQ = ColdSnap. Give effect freeze and magical damage each attack.

EEQ = Forge Spirits. Spawns two ranged attack units that you can control.

Aghanim Shard: Added two extra Chaos Meteor on the right and left, reducing the cooldown of the Chaos Meteor Skill.

Dota 2 Invoker Skill and Item Builds

After knowing the basics of Invoker, it's time for us to get into Build Skills and Items. The build that the author made is the result of personal experience and research from the results of 13 games The International (TI) 11 Last Chance Qualifier yesterday.

In addition, all the build recommendations below use the latest current patch, Patch 7.32c. Build recommendations can change at any time if there are other updates.

Dota 2 Invoker Skill Builds

Skill selection is very important for Invoker. The skill combination that often occurs is Wex-Quas or Exort-Quas.

Quas is important because it can add HP Regeneration. The hope is that with Quas, Invoker will only need to focus on buying Mana Regeneration items (Clarity or Enchanted Mango).

Most of the pro players in The International (TI) 11, Wex-Quas combination very popular. In short, Wex can provide bonus movement speed and attack speed. Perfect for a mid laner.

If you're not focused, raising all three skills simultaneously (Quas, Wex, and Exort) results in skills that feel "bearful".

Dota 2 Invoker Item Builds

To facilitate the distribution of items, the author divides a game based on time into three: Early, Mid, and Late Game.

Early Game (0-15 Minutes)

As in the early game, what you need are a number of standard items (Tango, Circlet, Faerie Fire, Mantle of Intelligence, to the Iron Branch). Some of them added Clarity in the early minutes.

At least, there are three items that you need to make in the early game: Null Talisman, Boots, Urn of Shadow, and Hand of Midas

Null Talisman is one item that you can craft for Invoker. He can provide additional Max. Mana, Mana Regeneration, and also attack damage for Invokers. If you want to make two pieces, no problem. This item is like a snowball, because at the 25th minute, the buff doubles.

Boots.  Some pro players, especially those who play Exort-Quas, buy Boots in early game. The goal is to get high mobility early in the game. But if you have more gold, you can buy it at the beginning.

Urn of Shadow-Spirit Vessels maybe also suitable for those of you who fight difficult heroes like Kunkka, Lina, and Zeus. In addition to providing additional status, Invoker can provide Damage over Time to the enemy.

Last is Hand of Midas. As a Midlaner who needs a lot of needs, Hand of Midas is the choice of all pro players. With Hand of Midas, you can also buy some items mid-late game faster.

For three popular Neutral Items for Invoker players is Arcane Rings, Fairy's Trinkets, or Occult Bracelet. Arcane Ring and Occult Bracelet can provide additional Mana Pool.

Mid Game (15-30 Minutes)

Black King Bar is an item that is very suitable if the opponent you face is of the type magical attacks, like Lina, Luna, and Zeus. You can activate it when you enter the war, making sure you don't get distracted by enemy skills.

Because the mid-game has started frequent war, Invoker needs to make Boots of Travel to be able to back up if you fall behind. Remember, whatever combo skills you choose will be very useful for team fights.

Blink Daggers here aims so that you can take initiation with your skills. You can use Tornado, Cold Snap, or Ice Wall skills to keep the enemy from going anywhere.

The favorite Neutral Items for Invoker pro players are divided into two, namely Tier-2 and Tier-3.

For Tier-2, they choose Grove Bows or Pupil's Gift.

Grove Bows provides additional Attack Speed, Range Attack, and reduces enemy magic resistance. Whereas Pupil's Gift for Invoker can add Strength status (300 HP and 1.35 HP Regen) and Agility (15 Attack Speed and 2.4 Armor).

For Tier-3, there are many popular Neutral Items with different functions. But the most voted is Psychic Headband (+Cast Range & Intelligence), Enchanted Quivers (+200 magical damage & attack range), and Quickening Charm (cooldown reduction).

Late Game (+30 Minute-End)

If your match is rather difficult and takes a long time, you can make several items depending on your enemy.

Shiva's Guard become one of the items that you can choose for Invoker. Active skills can provide magical damage, slow, and passive -45 attack speed and -25% enemy health regeneration. Suitable for fighting thick-blooded enemies or using Heart of Tarrasque.

Scythe of Vyse is a very good item disabler. If you are dealing with Ember Spirit, Slark, Shadow Fiend, or heroes damage dealers, this will be very helpful. Just “HEX”, and your opponent become a pig!

To maximize your skills, Octarine Core you can consider. With this item, your entire cooldown (skills and items) is reduced by 25%. Also, the effect of Aether Lens is still present (+cast range).

Aghanim's Specter also suitable for late game. With it, you can take out Cataclysm, A large number of Sun Strike. The amount of damage per Sun Strike given is also in accordance with usual. There are two tier Neutral Items that you can get during the late-game, namely Tier 4 and Tier 5.

For Tier 4, Neutral Items are preferred by pro players like Nisha TeamSecret is Prism Spells (Cooldown reduction), Witchbanes (removes debuffs), and Timeless Relics (additional spell damage).

As for Tier 5, since no matches at The International (TI) 11 are over 60 minutes using Invoker, these are the authors' recommendations: Apex (+70 primary attribute) and MirrorShield (passive Echo Shield every 8 seconds).
