There are many branches of esports that the Indonesian team has conquered, one of which is Dota 2. Even though they haven't won The International yet, there are many teams from Indonesia that have excelled in the international arena.

The Dota 2 esports competition is of course very fierce, where the meta used in the game changes so that this esports has various strategies and the leading team changes frequently.

For you Dota 2 fans, especially Dota 2 esports fans, you must have heard of an esports organization called BOOM Esport. BOOM Esport is one of the esport organizations from Indonesia that has various achievements in the international arena, especially Dota 2.

BOOM ID has a long history, with the organization being founded in November 2016. However, BOOM ID only entered the Dota 2 scene in 2017 with the Dreamocel, inYourDream, SaintDeLucaz, SnowbaLL, and Varizh rosters. However, over time, the roster changed.

In September 2019, BOOM ID changed its name to BOOM Esports. Many player and coach changes were made to strengthen the Dota 2 team. Since changing the name, BOOM Esport has continued its achievements in the Dota 2 arena by participating in various international tournaments, one of which is winning 2nd place at ESL One Thailand 2020 and getting a prize of $25,000.

In 2021, BOOM Esports won 1st place in two tournaments. First, BOOM Esports defeated Team SMG in the BTS Pro Series Season 8: Southeast Asia tournament. They won the tournament with a pretty fierce score, namely 3-2 best of 5 and took home a prize of $24,000 USD.

After season 8, the BTS Pro Series continues its tournament in season 9. Once again, BOOM Esports won the tournament by defeating Polaris Esports with a score of 3-0, best of 5 and won a prize of $24,000 USD.

BOOM Esports welcomes 2022 with a roster change. However, this time, the roster change brought BOOM Esports victory in the big tournament which was held in Dubai. Who is the roster? Let's see below!

Like any esports team in general, roster changes are often made to correct mistakes and improve the whole team.

BOOM Esports also made many roster changes. The following is the BOOM Esports roster for 2022 which contains players from various countries:

JaCkky as position one or carry, reaching 12,000 MMR in 2021, has favorite heroes namely Faceless Void, Juggernaut, and Monkey King. This player from Laos previously played for Motivate.Trust Gaming.

Position two or mid-laner filled by Yopaj, a player from the Philippines reached 10,000 MMR in 2020. Yopaj likes to use heroes who have output damage large, such as Templar Assassin, Ember Spirit, and Tiny.

Tims and skem are a duo from the Philippines who are positional players support and hard support . Both of these supports have 10,000 MMR in 2020.

BOOM Esports definitely has a player from Indonesia named Fbz. He is a player with a position of 3 or offlaner, has 11,000 MMR in 2022.

Mushi, a Dota 2 player who can be considered a veteran from Malaysia, was appointed to train the BOOM Esports Roster. With this roster, BOOM Esports has achieved many achievements, one of which is winning the tournament held in Dubai, GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 by defeating Tundra Esports and winning a prize of $108,987.

BOOM Esports at DPC SA 2021/2022

Currently, BOOM Esports is competing in the Dota Pro Circuit Southeast Asia 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I. As an organizer, Beyond The Summit is holding DPC for various regions in the world. For DPC Southeast Asia, this tournament has a prize pool of $205,000 USD. There are 8 teams participating in DPC Southeast Asia. Fnatic, T1, and Talon Esports are strong competitors in this tournament.

DPC Southeast Asia 2022 Tour 3 is still ongoing and will finish on July 14, 2022. Currently, BOOM Esports is in fourth place with 2 wins and 1 loss.

In the first week, BOOM Esports managed to beat Team SMG with a score of 2-1 Best of 3. BOOM Esports managed to win the first game with Yopaj and JaCkky excelling in net worth whole.

Even though BOOM Esports lost in game 2, they came back and defeated Team SMG in game three with Yopaj using Monkey King to bring BOOM Esports to victory and earn points in DPC SA Tour 3.

Week two BOOM Esports against Talon Esports, but Talon Esports managed to beat BOOM Esports with a score of 2-1, leaving BOOM Esports with one win and one loss.

However, BOOM Esports has a long way to go in this DPC. They managed to win against NGX.SEA with a score of 2-1 in week three. This victory gave BOOM Esports the fourth spot in this tournament.
