The Blade of Chaos was created by Ares in the dark depths of the Underworld. This sword has primordial fire that will burn every time Kratos attacks an enemy.
The chain of this sword will stretch over a certain attack distance, allowing the user to move more freely when facing their opponent.
The chains of the Blade of Chaos will permanently fuse with the user's arm as a reminder of their promise to God of War.
Only God of War which can remove the chain or later it will be released by itself when the user's service time has ended.

Technique
- Flame Whiplash 1 – Lights the Blade of Chaos on fire. When it is fully charged, Kratos' next attack will be even stronger.
- Flame Whiplash 2 – Can be immediately refilled by pressing the triangle button shortly after attacking.
- Furious Immolation – When the Immolation bar is full, press L1 and triangle to activate Furious Immolation. All melee attacks will have increased damage.
- Immolation – Attacks from the Blade of Chaos which, when active, will deal damage with a burning effect with each attack. This attack also provides bonus Luck and Runic stats
- Scorched Sweep 1 – Press the R1 button at the moment Flame Whiplash will split the enemy and set them on fire.
- Scorched Sweep 2 – Attacks enemies during delivery Scorched Earth will increase the damage of this attack even more.
- Scorched Sweep 3 – The fire wave created by Scorched Sweep If it is fully charged it will make it stronger and reach longer distances.
- Scorched Earth 1 – Pressing the R2 button while Flame Whiplash will make the sword blade jump down and create an explosion that can burn the enemy.
- Scorched earth 2 – Attack your opponent with Scorched Earth will cause the damage caused to increase significantly.
- Scorched earth 3 – Fire caused by Scorched Earth will increase both damage and size.
- Vaporize Frost – Melee attack that deals additional damage to opponents affected by Frost.
Long Range Attack
- Blazing Surge – When aiming, press the R2 button to stab the enemy and deliver a wave of fire from the chain which will deal burning damage to the target.
- Blazing Explosion 1 – After stabbing the opponent using Blazing Surge, holding the R2 button will send another sword at the same target with greater burning damage.
- Blazing Explosion 2 – Blast radius of Blazing Explosion increased significantly.
- Hyperion Pull – While aiming, press the R1 button. This will pull grounded opponents forward and launch weaker enemies when they are within 1 range.
- Hyperion Grapple 1 – After stabbing the enemy with Hyperion Pull, press the R1 button to throw Kratos towards the enemy on the ground while providing a Stun effect.
- Hyperion Grapple 2 – Attack enemies on the ground using Hyperion Grapple which can cause a large impact that can burn other enemies behind the target.
Melee Attack
- Chaos Slam – While running, holding down the R1 button will make Kratos jump into the air and attack the enemy with a powerful chain slam.
- Chaotic Rampage 1 – Holding the R1 button will release a series of high-damage attacks from the sword in hand on one enemy.
- Chaotic Rampage 2 – Expand Chaotic Rampage with additional attacks.
- Chaotic Rampage 3 – Added a stronger Finisher.
- Evasive Embers – When dodging, holding the L button while pressing the R1 button will deal burning damage to a large area in front of you.
- Plume Chaos – High level attack that deals burning damage and can throw enemies with a Light Attack combo, namely R1, R1, R1, R1, R1, and R2.
- Rising Chaos – Holding the R2 button will cause the sword to slide up and hit the opponent in the air.
- Rushing Chaos – When running, pressing the R1 button will make Kratos jump towards the enemy in front of him and attack several times.
- Spinning Chaos – When dodging, holding the L button and pressing R1 will make Kratos launch a spinning attack towards the front.
