Zeraora is a Pokemon with a Speedster role that focuses on close combat. Get close to this powerful Pokemon and you'll be dealing massive damage, plus you have excellent maneuverability to get in and out of danger quickly.

With so many people having Zeraora on their starting roster, it's a popular choice in games. But few players are using Zeraora as effectively as they are today.

Zeraora Build – Pokemon Unite

Unique Ability

Absorb Volts – Gain an electric charge when you take damage, then convert some of that damage into additional Attack power.

Basic Attack – Becomes an attack boost with every 3rd attack, dealing increased damage and immobilizing (slowing) enemies while restoring health.

At level 1, Zeraora has two moves to choose from when entering the arena.

Levels 1/3

Agility – 6s Cooldown – Dash, and attack faster in no time.

slash – 8.5s Cooldown – Runs up to an opponent and attacks, throwing him back with the final hit.

When playing a Speedster class like Zeraora, abilities that allow you to move quickly are key. Agility is a great option for attacking fleeing enemies or getting out of harm's way on your own.

However, if you choose Slash, you'll be able to contribute more to big damage fights, at the expense of a slower start to the game. We personally choose Agility 9 times out of 10.

Level 6

Switch Volts – 8 second Cooldown – Passes past opponents, damages them, and increases your Attack Speed. Use again to run back.

Upgrades: Damage increase. Increased duration of Attack Speed increase.

sparks – 10 second cooldown – Jump over your opponent and stun him. Attacking while in the air will jump to the nearest opponent instead. Can be used up to three times.

Upgrades: Attacking while in the air heals you.

Spark is an excellent move to catch up with opponents, don't let the long cooldown fool you. Since the move can be used 3 times, it's more useful than you might think – plus you'll get healing from it later in the game.

However, it's hard to beat the Volt Switch which helps you dodge enemy attacks while damaging them and increasing your Attack Speed. The Volt Switch is also a great escape move, as the enemy has to guess where you're going to use it and whether you're going to choose to fall back or not!

Level 8

Discharge – Cooldown 12 seconds – Deals damage to nearby opponents and protects you. An incapacitated opponent is pulled towards you, stunned, and takes damage a second time.

Upgrades: Reduces the enemy's Movement Speed that is hit.

Wild Charge – Charges forward, unleashing combos on impact at the expense of some of your own HP. The combo lasts longer if the opponent has recently been hit by a Volt Switch, Spark, or a boosted attack.

Upgrades: Inflicts damage in the area on impact.

Discharge is the perfect combo move, aiding your team in the fight while allowing you to get some major damage amidst the fray. If you can immobilize your opponent with your melee attacks.

Wild Charge, on the other hand, is a high-stakes move that makes Zeraora a force to be reckoned with. This is the perfect move to finish off enemies, especially those you've hit with other abilities.

Level 9

Unite Move – Plasma Gale – Deals damage to all enemies in an area, displacing them. While in the plasma zone, you get increased Attack Range and Damage.

The perfect way to get rid of that elusive team, use Zeraora's dash ability to enter the fray and immediately engage Plasma Gale. When they try to get out of your area, hit them with your abilities and increase their Attack to secure some easy kills.

Hold Items

• Float Stone – Increased Movement Speed and Attack Damage
• Muscle Band– Deal an increase in basic Attack Damage
• Shell Bell – Restores the attacker's HP when a special attack hits the target

You might also consider the Rocky Helmet to reflect damage back to attackers, making it the perfect item to bring into the fray. The Focus Band restores your HP when it's low too, making it a good choice for those who prefer to run Wild Charge.

Battle Items

One of the most popular items that you should use with Zeraora is X-Attack. This increases your Pokemon's Attack and Special Attack for a short time, with a cooldown of 40 seconds.

If you choose to play Zeraora as the Jungler, consider Fluffy Tail instead to stun nearby wild Pokemon and make them take more damage.

Zeraora's strategy in Pokemon Unite

• Use Zeraora's ability to run into the center of a team fight, using Plasma Gale to turn the tide of the battle.
• Try to combine your abilities for maximum damage output. Using enhanced basic attacks in combination with Discharge is the best way to secure kills.
• Zeraora is an excellent choice for Junglers. Try and help both lanes while clearing out wild Pokemon that appear.
• Use moves like the Volt Switch to mix up your opponents, leaving them confused as to which direction to move next.
