Evolution

Greninja starts the game as a simple Froakie, but at level 5 she will turn into a Frogadier. Similarly, at level 9 Frogadier will become a fearsome Greninja.

Unique Ability

• torrents – When a Pokemon is at half HP or less, its Attack and movement speed increase.
• Basic Attack – Becomes a booster attack with every third attack. At long distances, the booster attack deals increased damage to opposing Pokemon and reduces their movement speed for a short time. At close range, the enhanced attack deals more damage, the lower the remaining HP of the opposing Pokemon.

Moves

Levels 1/3

All Pokemon in Pokemon Unite get a choice of one of two moves at level 1. If you want to change your strategy, you can choose a different move at the start of a match.

Bubbles – Cooldown 9s – Attacks with a spray of bubbles, reducing the movement speed of opposing Pokemon for a short time when hit.

Substitute – Cooldown 8s – Leaves a replacement dummy for the player as he moves forward.

Bubble is the best choice for Greninja at level 1 considering the damage it produces is relatively high. This is also a ranged attack that opens up opportunities for pokes.

Level 5

Double Team – Cooldown 11s – Quickly teleports the player from their current position, creating illusionary copies to aid in battle.

Upgrades: Reduces the cooldown of this move.

Smokescreen – Cooldown 11s – Creates a smokescreen and makes players move away from their current location. Immediately after that, the player started sneaking and his movement speed increased for a short time. This also makes the next basic attack an enhanced attack.

Upgrades: Increases Attack for a short time when the player stops sneaking.

Level 7

Water Shuriken – Cooldown 7s – Consecutively throws shurikens made of water. Reduces the movement speed of opposing Pokemon for a short time and restores the player's HP when hit. Also increases the player's movement speed when using this move.

Upgrades: Increases the attack amount of this move

Surf – Cooldown 9s – Makes the player ride a wave, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon and restoring player HP. If this move immobilizes an opposing Pokemon, its cooldown will be reset. In addition, this move increases damage to enemy Pokemon with low HP.

Upgrades: Increases the amount of HP recovered.

Surf is the optimal move here, not only increasing healing, but it can act as a dash. Furthermore, the ability to serial kill, mixed with his synergy with Shell Bell Held items makes for a terrifying healing combination.

Level 9

Unite Move – Waterburst Shuriken – Makes the player throw a giant water shuriken in a designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and reducing their movement speed for a short time when this Unite Move hits.

The water shuriken then immediately explodes and deals damage to the opposing Pokemon in the area of effect once again and throws it. After this Unit Transfer ends, the player can jump in the specified direction.

Greninja's Unite Move must be used at the start of the fight. When paired with an Energy Booster, it will give Greninja a massive burst of damage to help start or close team fights. He can then use free jump to attack distracted enemies.
