Pokemon fans around the world can finally play the newest game Pokemon Unite. There are many characters to choose from, but the grumpy Crustle is one of the best!

This Pokemon is a tank defender built for map control and support, but can also deal some massive damage. Yes, he's a bit slow, but speed isn't everything in Pokemon Unite.

Crustle is one of the Pokemon that you can use, even when you're playing Pokemon Unite for the first time, so many players will have access to this little crustacean. However, you have to know the best moves, items, and strategies to get the most out of this Pokemon.

Crustle Build

Evolution

When playing as Crustle Pokemon Unite, you actually start out as Dwebble. But don't worry, you evolve into Crustle very fast only at level 4.

Unique Ability

• Sturdy – Every time a Pokemon loses a certain amount of HP, Defense and Sp. Def increased.
• Basic Attack – Becomes an enhanced attack with every third strike. When this enhanced attack hits, it deals damage to opposing Pokémon in an area of effect and reduces their movement speed for a short time.

Moves

Levels 1/3

Like all characters in Pokemon Unite, Crustle can choose one of two moves at level 1. You will then unlock the other at level 3.

Rock Slides – Cooldown 6s – Showering the area with rocks.

Fury Cutters – Cooldown 3.5s – Slashes opponents, dealing more damage with each successive hit.

Fury Cutter is definitely the best first step choice. This is because it allows you to defeat wild Pokemon faster. Rock Slide is fine, but there's only one good option here.

Level 4

Rock Tomb – Cooldown 5s – Earthquake and creates a wall. On second activation, destroy the wall.

Upgrades: Slows down the opponent.

Shell Smash – Cooldown 7s – Destroys your shell, and swaps your defense for increased Movement and Attack Speed.

Upgrades: Increased Movement and Attack Speed.

Shell Smash is a great choice for your level 4 moves, thanks to its versatility. You can use this to quickly retreat or to track fleeing enemies and finish them off.

Level 6

Stealth Rock – Cooldown 8s – Throws a rock that creates a levitation zone that deals damage over time.

Upgrade: Increased duration. Slows down your opponent.

X-Scissors – Cooldown 8s – Scratch the opponent multiple times, displacing them. Stun the opponent who is carried into the field.

Upgrades: Reduced cooldown.

This is also another fairly simple option. For our Crustle meta build, you'll want to choose X-Scissor to help you deal some serious damage. That said, the more support-focused Crustle would do very well with Stealth Rock as well.

Level 9

Unite Move – Unite – Shields you and throws rocks at nearby opponents which explode on impact, damaging additional opponents in each blast zone.

Best Crustle Item – Pokemon Unite

When playing with Crustle, we recommend using items such as the following:

Hold items

• Rocky Helmet - After absorbing enough damage he will give a percent of the damage to the nearest opponent.
• Assault Vest – When exiting battle, can get a percentage of your maximum health as Sp. Attack shield.
• Aeos Cookie – Permanently increases Max HP after scoring a goal.

Battle Items

We recommend using the Eject Button to get out of some tricky situations as Crutsle isn't the fastest character in Pokemon Unite.

Alternatively, you can equip Potions to help restore some of your health over time.

Strategy Crustle Pokemon Unite

• Crustle relies on its large health pool so be sure to return to base and recover if your HP is low.
• You'll especially want to stick to the top or bottom lanes with Crustle Pokemon Unite. This Pokemon is also a skilled goalkeeper.
• Crustle can be quite slow, but remember to use Shell Smash to back off and track enemies – this greatly increases your speed.
• Coordinate with your team to provide solidity and support wherever you are needed in the late game.
