What is Battery Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact is an open world RPG game where you will have a team or party to complete various quests or fight enemies.

The characters released by the game have their respective roles according to the strengths of the character's talents. General roles in a party are divided into: 

• DPS: main attacker
• Sub-DPS: additional attackers who don't have to be on the field all the time
• Support: DPS support, for example: dealing great damage, recovering HP, and more.

The character's own talent consists of elemental powers which are divided into Elemental Skills and Elemental Burst.

You can use any Elemental Skill where to use it you just have to wait for the time cooldown (CD). Meanwhile, Elemental Burst requires Energy so you can use it.

You can get energy from Elemental Orbs or Elemental Particles which will be generated when fighting enemies using Elemental Skills.

Unfortunately, many DPS characters are unable to regenerate enough Elemental Orbs to meet the energy required to use Elemental Bursts.

Therefore, this DPS character needs a character that is able to regenerate this energy so that the DPS can maximize damage when attacking the enemy. This role is known as Battery.

Battery function in the Genshin Impact Team

The main function of Battery characters is to supply the energy needed by DPS to use Elemental Burst.

If using an analogy, think of the DPS as an electronic device such as a smartphone and a battery such as a battery or charger for a smartphone to charge energy so it stays on.

This Battery character is able to produce a lot of Energy Orbs so that it speeds up energy filling optimally. 

The more Energy Orbs the Battery character produces, the faster the Energy is filled.

Relationship of Energy Recharge, Energy, Elemental Orb, and Character Battery

The most closely related stat is the Battery character's ability to fill up energy.

The amount of Energy Recharge stats possessed by a character will increase the amount of energy produced by Elemental Orbs or Elemental Particles.

One Elemental Orb will produce greater energy than one Elemental Particle.

The energy generated will be shared between the characters that produce Elemental Orbs/Particles and distributed to the characters in the party.

The amount of energy produced varies. That's because, the amount of energy received by the character will be affected by several circumstances, namely:

• Elements in common between the Battery character and that character
• The amount and Elemental Orb generated (either from the character or from the enemy)
• Great Energy Recharge

VCGamers gives an example in one party there are Xiao, Sucrose, Kazuha, and Bennett. Sucrose generates Anemo Elemental particles and Elemental Orbs from attacking non Anemo enemies.

Xiao, Sucrose, and Kazuha will recharge faster than Bennett who is not an Anemo character.

Sucrose will get the most energy filling compared to Xiao and Kazuha because he is an active character on the field (onfield). 

Except, after you use Sucrose you immediately change the character to Xiao and that character will get the Elemental Particle.

The enemies you fight can also produce Elemental Particles with different elements. 

For example, you fight Hydro Slime you will get Hydro Particle, Cryo Whopperflower will give Cryo Particle, and so on.

You can tell the difference from the color. The Elemental Particle will follow the color of the element and the Elemental Orb will be white and bigger.

The Battery character plays quite an important role in a party because it can benefit you such as speeding up the duration against enemies and Elemental Burst spam when needed.
