Apex Legends update finally got patch 2.05 since September 20, 2022, for all supported regions and platforms.

One of the biggest highlights of this patch is the arrival of a new event, which has arrived on the live servers. This event is called Best of Prey and has a lot of additional content for players to try.

Apart from the event, the Apex Legends update 2023 has also introduced a large number of quality of life changes as well as bug fixes and a balance update which will fix some rough edges.

Additionally, the new 'Gun Run' game in Apex Legends will allow players to go head-to-head against three other teams.

Each kill the player gets with a weapon will allow them to advance to the next weapon. The team that advances through the most weapons at the end of the game will be crowned the winner.

Changes to the Ranked Mode Rotation System in Season 16 Revelry

Apex Legends players will be pleased to know that Ranked maps change every 24 hours instead of rotating like last season. Even though they demand this to happen, the change should appeal to Apex gamers.

Apex Legends now has three main maps after developer Respawn Entertainment, along with Panic Button Games, introduced Broken Moon last season, and players will explore each of them. However, it is difficult to have three maps simultaneously for ranked play.

Previously, in Season 15 , the new Broken Moon map was part of the first split but was later changed with a midseason split and soft reset. In the preview session, Rutledge explained that the game will have Broken Moon, Storm Point, and World's Edge as part of the new map rotation.

Despite the leaks, it hasn't been officially confirmed how the map rotation will play out with the season split until the preview event.

The idea of introducing Ranked Split to Apex legends was to split a long season into two parts, and by using different maps, players will have to wait a long time to return to their favorite ranked arena.

After season 16, players will be able to get their favorite maps back into the game within 24 hours. Hence, they will have the opportunity to play in their comfort zone.

Also, this map rotation will not affect mid-season splits or soft resets. Apex Legends season 16 also replaces Arenas Axed with Team Deathmatch, and the excitement has reached its peak since it was announced by Respawn Entertainment. Season 16 'Revelry' is slated for release on February 14, 2023.
