Ao Ashi tells the story of Ashito Aoi, a boy from a small village in Japan who dreams of becoming a professional footballer.

Ashito has extraordinary soccer talent, but he has one weakness, namely that he has no experience playing on a professional soccer team. 

One day, Ashito met Tatsuya Fukuda, a professional soccer coach from the Tokyo Esperion FC club. Fukuda saw Ashito's potential and offered him to join the Esperion team.

After much thought, Ashito finally accepted Fukuda's offer and moved to Tokyo to join Esperion. 

At Esperion, Ashito meets other talented soccer players.

Ashito will have to work hard to adapt to the high standards of football at Esperion and secure his position in the team.
