This time we will present a discussion about the game Pokémon the best that certainly makes an impression on the hearts of his fans.

It is undeniable, the Pokemon franchise has accompanied world gamers across generations. In 2023, the game title has entered its 9th generation. After 27 years, Pokemon is still actively developing.

With almost 3 decades of age, they have released so many game lineups. This is also in line with home and handheld console technology that continues to develop from time to time. So naturally of the many games that are already present, if there is the best of them.

For Pokemon Trainers (a term for loyal fans of this game) every game that has ever been released in this franchise is of course all good. But it would be more objective if there were one or two installations that performed more brilliantly than the others, right?

So, in this recommendation, we will not only present one or two of the best, but 4 at once! So, for those who are curious about the content, watch it until it's finished! Let's just check it out!

The 4 Best Pokemon Games

There are some of the best Pokemon games. This game is also present from time to time. Here's the list:

Pokémon Red and Green (1996)

Even though it was released on one of Nintendo's oldest handheld consoles, this first generation OG (original) version really needs to be included in this list! Players are invited to control the protagonist named Red (character name can be changed) who is on an adventure to pursue his dream.

Yep, especially if he doesn't become a Pokemon champion in the region where he lives. In this early generation, the Kanto region became the setting for his wandering location. This reference is taken from an area in Tokyo, Japan.

It was also here that various iconic characters that have survived until now were introduced, such as Pikachu the electric rat, three original starter trios (Squirtle, Charmender, and Bulbasaur), as well as other Pokemon universal mechanical systems.

• Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal (1999)

And still from the lineup that was released on the Game Boy Color platform, coming from the 2nd generation: namely Heart, Gold, and Crystal. Introducing another region called Johto, players will meet a collection of Pokemon that are quite different from the previous region.

Many of the mechanics and gameplay still retain the concepts from the previous generation. Even so, the storyline and several other settings present a completely new setting so that players don't get bored easily.

What makes it so memorable is that, as the final boss, we will be reunited with the character Red (which is said to have succeeded in becoming the regional champion) from the Gen-1 Pokemon lineup above Vicigers! This is what finally makes this game very memorable for Pokemon Trainers.

Pokemon Ruby, Saphire, and Emerald (2002-2004)

Next comes the third generation of Pokemon, namely the Ruby, Saphire, and Emerald lineup. First released on the Game Boy Advance platform, this lineup marks the entry of the Pokemon franchise into the "advance generation" era.

This is because the various mechanics and features presented in this third generation have never been found in the previous Pokemon lineup. Some of them are like the existence of a new gadget called PokeNav, fighting back against the gym leader after winning, etc.

Set in a new region called Hoenn, players will still be required to go on an adventure to become the strongest. But with more solid gameplay, players can more easily enjoy this game from various sides. Worth a try!

• Pokemon Black and White 2 (2012)

And the last recommendation of the best Pokemon from us is Pokemon Black and White 2 which is present on the Nintendo DS platform. As the fifth generation, you could say this Pokemon lineup is the meeting point of old and new elements: making it so perfect.

There are so many advantages of Black and White 2: it is the last Pokemon main story installation that uses a 'chibi' appearance for its characters, it is believed to have the coolest starter compared to other installations, as well as various advanced features from this franchise.

Taking the background in a region called Unova, the various Pokemon that appear in this generation are really good. Just look at the legendary forms that carry the theme "Sword of Justice", as well as the "Tao Trio". Truly worthy of being named the coolest legendary!

That's the discussion about the game Pokémon. Of course all of these recommendations are subjective and highly debatable.

So, for Vicigers who may have their own favorite title or generation of their own favorite Pokemon, you're welcome to share it in the comments column! Happy Gaming!
