Will the Kord Gun be able to change the current meta stream? Let's find out together in our article about the Kord Gun in Free Fire. One of the rarest weapons on the map.
Garena Free Fire boasts one of the largest weapon collections in the HP gaming world. This Battle Royale game now has dozens of weapons that can be used, ranging from melee to heavy weapons.
The number is still growing as the game continues to add to its already enormous arsenal. An addition that may be rarely used is the Kord Gun. Will this weapon last long? Let's find out together in our article about Kord Gun in Free Fire!
About Kord Gun in Free Fire
Garena Free Fire always releases the latest OB updates. The patch brings lots of changes and new features, making it the biggest update in the Battle Royale game of 2021 so far.
Free Fire survivors can now enjoy the new User Interface, much needed weapon balance, new characters and much more.
The OB27 update also welcomes a new weapon to the battlefield, the Kord Gun LMG (Light Machine Gun). This beast of a firearm looks and sounds threatening. Kord Gun was built with one single goal in mind for Free Fire survivors: to rain bullets on enemies.
Kord Guns in Real Life
In reality, the Kord Gun is an LMG designed to replace the older LMG NSV. This weapon is a Russian model, so that explains the weapon's hefty and intimidating look.
The Kord Gun retains the look of the old NSV model, but the entire internal mechanism has been extensively reworked.
They changed it from a horizontally rotating breech block to a rotating bolt design. Additionally, the gas system undergoes a major re-forge to reduce recoil, enabling greater accuracy.
High accuracy, combined with a large magazine, makes the Kord Gun a real threat in continuous fire.
Kord Gun statistics on Free Fire
Being an LMG, there are several things you might expect from this weapon. First of all, it should boast a large magazine. The LMG is supposed to shoot bullets from the barrel in seconds, so it's not ideal to only have 30 rounds in the chamber.
Next, speed, or rate of fire. You want this weapon to be fast, like really fast in Auto mode. But it also has to be accurate at the same time. It makes no sense to bring a weapon that cannot hit the target into battle.
And last but not least, to balance weapons, of course, base damage needs to be reduced. If a fast and accurate weapon can deal massive damage per shot, it will make other weapons in Free Fire completely irrelevant.
With that said, let's check if Kord has the features mentioned above.
Kord Weapon Statistics in Free Fire
According to the official Weapons page on the Garena Free Fire website, Kord has the following stats:
- Damage: 59
- Ranges: 73
- Magazines: 80
- Movement Speed: 58
- Rate of Fire: 52
- Reload Speed: 41
- Accuracy: 34
- Armor Penetration: 0
- Available Attachment Slots: Scopes
- LMG Mode: increases rate of fire by 5 percent, fires three rounds at once.
Compared to the other two LMGs in Free Fire, namely GATLING and M249, Kord Gun has a slightly higher damage stat. However, its effective range is lower, and it has the worst basic accuracy.
Therefore, we can easily place this weapon in the best Free Fire class for close combat. He has high base damage and a decent rate of fire, making him fearsome in face-to-face combat.
However, when we moved from medium to long range, this weapon fell dramatically. The accuracy is too low for this purpose.

Where to Find The Kord Gun in Free Fire?
New LMG chords won't be hard to find. Usually available as general loot on all maps in Free Fire Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes.
This weapon is a powerful LMG, you will definitely tell other players. But this weapon in Free Fire damage alone doesn't cut it.
Regarding stats, this weapon is not as versatile as its counterparts (Gatling and M249). Even with Machine Gun mode active, this weapon will still struggle to compete with a reliable SCAR or SMG.
Therefore, we don't think that Kord will be the next meta in Garena Free Fire. But that does not mean this weapon is not worth taking.
