Who is Aeon Honkai Star Rail?
The Aeon in the HSR game is inspired by the teachings of Gnosticism. In Gnosticism, Aeon is one of the creatures believed to come from God Almighty and perform various functions in the operation of the universe.
Uniquely, these Aeons can be created from various different circumstances. These Aeons can be objects, humans, or other creatures that gain power because they believe in a concept.
For example, Nous who was created from a super astral computer system was created by Zandar One Kuwabara before becoming an Aeon because he knew the knowledge. Or Nanook who rose to become an Aeon because he believed the existence of the world was a mistake and must be destroyed.
It could also be like Sunday who almost 'ascended' to become an Aeon of the Order path, replacing the previous Aeon, Ena.
Aeons also only lead Paths, not regions like Archons in Genshin Impact. For example, in Amphoreus there are 3 paths: Erudition, Remembrance, and one unknown path.
The Relationship Between Path and Aeon
At birth, these Aeons will create a Path that we know can provide the type of power or character class that we usually play. Path itself can be said to be the power resulting from the manifestation of the concept that Aeon believes in.
These Aeons can grant power to selected mortals who they deem fit and adhere to the concept of this path. These mortals are called Emanators.
Another unique concept is that Aeons are not immortal, unlike most gods. Aeons can die or disappear due to collision with the path of another Aeon.
The first possibility is through Path collisions that come from overlapping concepts. For example, Xipe eliminated Ena because the concepts of Harmony and Order are similar to each other.
The second concept is that Aeons kill other Aeons. For example, Tayzzyronth is thought to have been killed by another Aeon. Although this concept is not yet confirmed because Tayzzyronth himself is said to be imprisoned in ice.
Aeon List in Honkai Star Rail
There are a total of 18 Aeons in the Honkai Star Rail game, each leading a different Path. Each Aeon has a faction of followers who continue the concept of each Aeon itself.
Some Aeons are also known to have disappeared or are considered dead. For example, Akivili, Ena, and Long are included in the category of disappeared Aeons.
Meanwhile, Aeons such as Nanook, Aha, Lan, and Yaoshi are still active and lead their respective paths.
Akivili (Trailblaze path)
Aeon of the Trailblaze path with a follower faction called the Nameless or better known as Trailblazer and Astral Express.
Nanook (path of destruction)
Nanook is the leader of the path of destruction and the antagonist in HSR. There are 2 factions of Nanook followers, namely the Antimatter Legion and the Annihilation Gang.
Nous (path of Erudition)
This Aeon and path highly values knowledge. There are 3 factions that follow this Aeon, namely: Genius Society, Intelligentsia Guild, and AtaviSearch Forest.
Qlipoth (path Preservation)
Qlipoth is an Aeon that has the principle of preserving and protecting (Preservation). The 2 follower factions of this Aeon are the Interastral Peace Corporation (IPC) and The Architects.
Yaoshi (Abundance Path)
Previously, Yaoshi was an Aeon worshipped by the people of Xianzhou who made several races on this planet long-lived to the point of immortality.
His follower factions are: Denizens of Abundance, Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, Elixir Seekers, and The Unshackled.
Lan (Path Hunt)
Lan and the Hunt path became the current superior faction that led Xianzhou, until the creation of the Xianzhou Alliance faction. In addition, there is also the Galaxy Rangers faction.
IX (path of Nihility)
This Aeon can be said to be the most emo and has no motivation at all. There are 2 factions of Aeon followers, namely Doctors of Chaos, Device IX, and Self-Annihilators.
Xipe (Harmony path)
This Aeon leads the Harmony path with only one faction, namely The Family, which is in Penacony.
Ena (path Order)
The faction of this path is only The Beyond of Sky Choir. This path leads Order or regularity which is the opposite of the Harmony path,
Terminus (path Finality)
This Aeon hasn’t been discussed until the latest Amphoreus update. One faction that isn’t explicitly mentioned by this path is the Stellaron Hunters who you may be familiar with through Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf.
In addition, there are 2 other follower factions, namely the Omen Vanguards and the Creed Exequy.
Fuli (Remembrance Path)
This Aeon path just got Trailblazer with a new path to play.
As the name suggests, this path records various events and is carried out by 2 factions: Garden of Recollection and The Cremators.
Hooh (path Equilibrium)
This Aeon has 2 followers: The Arbitrators and Claretwheel Temple. This path has not been discussed in detail.
Tayzzyronth (path Propagation)
This Aeon is said to have created a great battle between the Aeons. It is said that his follower faction, The Swarm, had colonized various places.
Ouroboros (Voracity Path)
As the name of the path is greed, this Aeon is likely related to that side. However, it is not yet known which faction is the follower of this Aeon.
Long (path Permanence)
Similar to Ouroboros, Long is an Aeon whose followers are currently unknown. However, the Vidyadhara race (such as Dan Heng and Lingsha) are descendants of this supposedly disappeared Aeon.
Aha (path Elation)
The most humorous and mischievous Aeon, who even blew up the Astral Express to surprise Akivili. The followers of this Aeon are the Mourning Actors and Masked Fools factions.
Idrila (path Beauty)
Idrila is an Aeon who loves beauty and beauty. Her follower factions are the Mirror Holders and the Knights of Beauty, one of whom you may know is Argenti.
Myth (Enigmata)
This Aeon is the opposite of Erudition where Erudition upholds exact science, while Enigmata is more interested in the unknown. Followers of this Aeon are The Riddlers and History Fictionologists.
