Paimon is one of the characters that has a lot of roles in the game Genshin Impact.

Speculation of Paimon Genshin Impact's Real Identity

Unknown God

The Unknown God or possibly the God who is often called the Heavenly Principles is the character most often suspected as Paimon's true identity.

Heavenly Principles are Gods who govern all things related to Teyvat and the natural laws that apply in that world.

The thing that strengthens the relationship between Paimon and Unknown God is the similar character designs. The similarity in white hair color and clothing style, especially the similar robe model, is the reason for Paimon's theory that the Unknown God is believed even though there has been no official confirmation from the game.

The sleeves of Paimon's clothing bear a resemblance to the Pillar dropped by Celestia.

These pillars were the pillars that were brought down by Heavenly Principles whose purposes and purposes were still unknown.

Seelie

This nation was cursed as a result of a catastrophe that struck causing the nation to become extinct.

All the beauty, knowledge, and wisdom of the Seelie people was lost because of the curse. What remained was his ability to guide adventurers.

Paimon's similarity with Seelie can be seen in that she becomes a Traveler's guide in Teyvat, her passion for treasure, and Paimon's ability to fly are similar to Seelie's abilities in books and Seelie, which you must often meet.

Istaroth

Istaroth is the god of wind and time. This god lived long before The Seven or para Archons and the Heavenly Principles as they are today.

The god Istaroth is known to be a shard of the power of the Primordial One or commonly called the Four Shining Shades of Primordial One.

The ancient people of Mondstadt and Enkanomiya were worshipers of this god. 

This can be seen from the evidence of relics such as the sundial (Sundial) on the Nameless Island in Mondstadt, as well as the Thousand Wind Temple which was taken from one of the nicknames for Istaroth, namely the Thousand Wind of Time.

Istaroth's legacy can also be read in the book Before Sun and Moon in the Enkanomiya library.

The name Istaroth itself is taken based on the name of the demon in Ars Goetia, namely "Astaroth". Astaroth is a demon who is the mother of all demons in Grimoire The Lesser Key of Solomon which is a relic of Ars Goetia.

The thing that indicated Paimon was Istaroth was their similarity in manipulating time. If you enter Genshin Impact's “Menu” section, you will notice that the time in Teyvat has stopped.

Only Paimon is seen moving even facing directly into the player's camera. In addition, the player's ability to advance time is allegedly also Paimon's strength as Istaroth.
