in games Genshin Impact, elements are an important function for building characters because most of the character's attack optimization comes from the elements owned by the character.

We will review various things about the elements in this game. So, it can help the players to understand it.
Let's see the full review!
Functions of the Honkai Star Rail Elements
The element or combat type in Honkai Star Rail is one of the characters' abilities to attack enemies.
This element is not related or creates an elemental reaction like the Genshin Impact game. That's because character function divided over the Path that has been determined for the character.
For example Path Preservation for Shielders, Destruction for DPS solo targets, and others.
However, elements have a function that is no less important for the character, especially when you are about to attack the enemy.
Each playable character is assigned an element and their attacks will deal elemental damage (Break) that matches the weakness (Weakness) of the enemy.
Each character can use the character's unique elements to attack the enemy's weak points.
If the enemy has a weakness (Weakness) on a certain element, the character can provide elemental damage (Element Weakness) that makes the enemy weak.
The element will cause the enemy's Toughness/shield bar to drop, which once depleted will result in a delay that stops the enemy from attacking for one round.
When the character succeeds in giving damage weakness (Weakness Break) to the enemy, the Special Effect of each element will be applied according to what element the character uses to get the Break.

Buff Types and Character Examples
At the time of writing this article, there are seven elements in Honkai: Star Rail that you can play for each character, namely: Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, and Imaginary.
Existing elements have special effects (Special Effects) that can help when attacking enemies in the game if you apply elements that match the enemy's Weakness.
Element | Buffs (Special Effects) |
Lightning | Using Lightning can trigger a Weakness Break that deals Lightning DMG Gives a Shock effect to the enemy Break that gives Lightning DoT* |
Physical | Using Physical can trigger an enemy's Weakness Break which deals Physical DMG. Can apply Bleed effect which gives Physical DoT |
Wind | Using Wind can trigger an enemy's Weakness Break which deals Wind DMG. Can apply Shear effect which gives Wind DoT |
Fire | Using Fire can trigger an enemy's Weakness Break which deals Fire DMG. Can apply Burn effect which gives Fire DoT |
Ice | Using Ice can trigger an enemy's Weakness Break which deals Ice DMG. Can produce Freeze (freeze targets), make enemies immobile and provide additional Ice DMG |
Quantum | Using Quantum can trigger an enemy's Weakness Break which deals Quantum DMG. Can cause an Entanglement that delays the enemy's turn, dealing Quantum DMG on their next turn. When you attack an enemy, the extra DMG will increase |
imaginary | Using Imaginary can trigger an enemy's Weakness Break which deals Imaginary DMG. Can cause Imprisonment, make the enemy imprisoned and delay (delay) the enemy's action and reduce the enemy's SPD. |
DoT or Deals over Time is the damage received by the enemy in the enemy's turn automatically, be it 1 or more turns. This can help reduce the enemy's Toughness Bar.
How to Use Element Weakness on Enemies in Honkai Star Rail
The way to find and give Weakness to the enemy actually has an easy way. However, you have to be careful in order to give the right elements.
There are 2 ways that you can apply, namely when you first meet an enemy and during war mode (battle mode).
The first step when you meet the enemy. At close range you can see a bar with icons of elements that become Weakness above the enemy.
Attack with characters that have the same element to get Special Effects from the enemy's weaknesses.
Next when entering Battle Mode. You can see the weaknesses of every enemy you fight by looking at the bar above the enemy.
Attack with a skill point (E keyboard) with the enemy's weak element to lower the Toughness Bar and get the character's Special Effect.
That way you save more Skill points that are used by attacking the enemy's weak points with only the elements needed.
You can also see enemies and enemy skills by pressing the "C" button on the character's side before it's turn to attack to confirm the enemy's skills and Weaknesses.
