Geek Fam Esports has finally returned to compete in the Dota 2 esports arena. Since disbanding in 2020, the team that was originally famous thanks to the success of Dota 2 has a new roster ready to take part in DPC SEA 2023.

Geek Fam Esports is one of the largest esports organizations in Asia. Vicigers may have heard of this esports organization through the competitive Mobile Legends scene.

However, Geek Fam has actually been around since 2016 for the Dota 2 division. The Dota 2 division was formed in November 2016 to take part in ESL One Genting 2017.

After the formation of the Dota 2 division, they as an esports organization continued to gain popularity and reputation thanks to winning various Dota 2 tournaments.

In 2017, they won first place in the ZOTAC Cup Premier tournament and the following year also won the 2018 Asia Pacific Predator League.

According to official website Geek Fam Esports, they earned the reputation and popularity of the division Dota 2. Unfortunately, the division was forced to disband in 2020.

On November 29, 2022, the esports organization provided the complete roster for the Dota 2 division via the account Twitter they.

Of course, the roster contains well-known pro players who already have skills and are well-known in the Dota 2 esports community.

After two years of not participating in the Dota 2 competition due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the esports organization finally has a Dota 2 roster that will take part in DPC 2023.

The roster contains three Filipino players, one Mongolian player and one Malaysian player. For post 1, they managed to recruit a pro player with a scheme nickname who previously played as post 5 for BOOM Esports.

Next, there are Kokz and Force who played as post 2 and post 3. Kokz is a player who previously played for Neon Esports. Meanwhile, Force is a Filipino player who previously played for Polaris Esports.

As post 4, NARMAN is a Mongolian player who previously played for the Indonesian Dota 2 team called Army Geniuses. When playing for the team, NARMAN became a teammate of well-known Indonesian players, one of which was inYourDream.

Finally, post 5 is filled by a Malaysian player with the nickname Roddgeee. Before joining Geek Fam Esports, he played for Team SMG and RSG.

With this roster, Geek Fam is ready to take part in the DPC SEA 2023 tournament which will start in 2023. Of course, the presence of this esports organization will make Dota 2 competition in the region SEA tighter and more competitive.

Apart from DPC SEA 2023, the esports organization is currently taking part in the BTS Pro Series Season 13: Southeast Asia tournament. Currently, they are in 5th place with 2 wins and 2 draws.

According to Liquipedia, DPC SEA 2023 will begin with Open Qualifier Tour 1 on December 11, 2022. After that, there will be Closed Qualifiers and League Division I and Division II. The highlight of Tour 1 is the Major which will be held on February 24, 2023.

According to Score.id, Geek Fam, who just had a fresh roster, must take part in DPC 2023 from the start, namely the qualification for Division 2.
