With the growing importance of character in Free Fire MAX, the developers decided to take a step forward and make it free via paying ff.

However, this does not mean characters can be obtained with just a few clicks but can only be obtained through the LINK System. Gamers must grind to complete LINK Progress to unlock certain characters for free by paying ff.

The LINK system has been accessible on global servers since the OB33 update; however, the Indian servers were not updated until the OB34 patch. Many new players find it difficult to use this system and have limited knowledge about its specifications.

Free Characters Through FF's Paying System

The developers didn't create a separate tab for this system in Free Fire MAX and instead placed it in the character section. Users simply click on the icon in the upper right corner and select the character they want to acquire.

Furthermore, they can play matches in battle royale titles or earn LINK Progress using gold.

Basically, players can earn up to 1500 LINK Progress for the selected character per day, and they can also exchange 200 coins for that same 100 LINK Progress for a maximum of 5 times. Once gamers collect 13,500 LINK Progress, they will receive a character for free.

Additionally, players should note that they can link one character at a time but will have the option to switch.

Their progress for that particular character will be saved, and they can continue from the same point at a later time. However, players will be subject to a cooldown period of 24 hours before they can switch.

Players must follow the instructions below to access the LINK System or certain paying ffs and unlock characters for free:

1. You can open Free Fire MAX and access the character section by clicking on the appropriate option.
2. Next, they must click on the LINK option in the upper right corner; gamers will be presented with a list of characters they can unlock.
3. You must confirm their choice and then play the battle royale title to collect 13,500 LINK Progress.
4. Once the Progress requirements are met, players will get skins.

With the limitations given, users can get a maximum of 2000 progress LINKs every day and will therefore be able to unlock characters in about a week.

The choice of character is entirely up to the player's preferences; however, gamers should aim to first unlock characters with active abilities as this has a higher overall impact on their own.

Players can unlock options like Alok, Dimitri, K, and Skyler and then focus on getting other passive options.

It usually takes time to grind characters for free; therefore, users should proceed with the ones they need most.

Paying FF characters

When characters become part and parcel of the experience Free Fire MAX, the more important, Garena keeps everything free to provide a balanced playing field. They were previously made available to gamers on the Indian server via an event where they had to collect certain tokens.

However, after the OB34 update, the Link System can also be accessed by players on this server. While all characters are up for grabs via the newly added Link System, it takes a lot of time and effort to complete Link's daily progress.

Dimitri

Dimitri's ability is called Healing Heartbeat in Free Fire MAX, which basically creates an immovable healing zone 3.5 m wide that lasts 10 seconds. All users and allies within it will recover 3 HP per second.

Apart from that, it also provides a self-recovery option, which allows the user to return to the game when they fall while coming with a cooldown of 85 seconds.

Alok

Alok has withstood the test of time in Free Fire and remains a top choice for both casual and competitive players. Drop the Beat creates a 5m aura, resulting in a 10 percent increase in movement speed for player and allies, in addition to offering 5 HP per second for 5 seconds.

After the current update, the cooldown for the character is set at 70 seconds in the first level, which will eventually drop to 50 seconds, which is still five seconds more than the previous version.

Alok can be used at various ranges in Free Fire MAX and can be paired with all characters to create powerful combinations. The user can use Hayato to excel at close range while also using Kapella to increase the effectiveness of Drop the Beat.

K

After the buff in the Free Fire OB31 update, K has become one of the best options available in battle royale titles. Master of All can quickly generate EP and then translate it into HP.

Firstly, the ability increases the maximum EP by 50 while having two separate modes – Jiu-jitsu and Psychology. The former provides a 500 percent increase in EP conversion rate to users within 6m zones. At the same time, the latter helps recover 3 EP every 2.2 seconds up to 150.
