Team SMG Defeats BOOM Esport in the Semifinals of Valorant SEA Masters 1

Hallo Vicigers, The semifinals of Valorant SEA Masters 1 only featured one representative from Indonesia, namely BOOM Esports. Qualifying from the quarter-finals, they faced Team SMG as a substitute for Timing Monster Gaming who was disqualified due to cheating.

After a fierce battle for 3 matches, unfortunately BOOM Esports had to go home first after losing 2-1 to Team SMG.

However, BOOM Esports lost with their heads held high because they were able to make Team SMG difficult on several occasions. What are their struggles like?

Team SMG won pistol rounds, and lead up to 0-3. BOOM Esports did it thrifty in round 4, but couldn't stop Team SMG. Ranking 1-6 in round 7.

BOOM was able to catch up starting from round 8 but stopped when in round 10 SMG stole a 3-7 victory. Their lead lasted until round 15 after BOOM earned one point, standing at 4-11.

BOOM continues to widen the gap, with leads 6-10 in round 16. A blunder from BOOM caused SMG to clinch ace clutch in round 17, however they came back bounce back. Provisional 7-11 score for BOOM advantage.

SMG started to chase through several wins and one flawless. The 1v1 duel in round 22 brought BOOM to match point 10-12. The final score of 10-13 finally led to the victory of BOOM Esports which forced the two teams to fight on folder third.

Once again SMG wins pistol rounds and took a 4-1 lead in round 5. BOOM came back on track and in round 8 it was 5-3 to SMG.

The gap between BOOM and SMG is getting smaller. Standing 7-5 for the current SMG technical pause in round 13. BOOM Esports regained ground and leveled at 7-7 in round 14.

Tight competition occurred between BOOM and SMG. Evening 9-9 in round 18. Coming from behind, BOOM won clutches to return to equalize the score 10-10.

SMG won another round and finally clinched match point in a manner flawless. BOOM Esports grabs a win and ambition to take the game to overtime. A very dramatic match at the end of the match was shown by both teams and SMG finally managed to close the match with their 13 – 11 win over BOOM Esport.

Even though they lost, BOOM Esports was able to provide fierce resistance for Team SMG and made this semifinal match one of the most exciting and tense throughout the Valorant SEA Masters 1 event.
