Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, The Story Is Even More Exciting on PS4

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions. Since long time ago, Captain Tsubasa has been popular as an anime with a football theme that aired on national TV. In fact, to enliven the World Cup, the cartoon Captain Tsubasa was re-run. Captain Tsubasa is a fictional character by Yoichi Takahashi who was introduced for the first time in 1981. This character also penetrated into the world of games. After Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun, now comes Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.

Two Episodes

The storyline of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is divided into two episodes. First, players enter Episode Tsubasa and follow the story as in the anime film. Fight with Kashiwa Reysol at the start of the game, then challenge Toho to conquer Hyuga. In the next episode is New Hero, here the real story begins. Players can create their own character and then choose one of the three teams consisting of Musashi, Furano, and Toho. The character formed can then support the team in the national championship. Then continue in the Junior World Cup tournament.

The determination of the three teams will naturally take three different paths. For example, if a player chooses the Musashi team, they will face the German national team in the final match. Meanwhile, if you choose another, you will face Brazil or America. Players must complete all three paths in order to reach all three teams.

The New Hero episode in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions doesn't just win titles at the national or world level. In this episode, players will also strengthen the skills of the characters being played. So each character in the game has its own stats including Power, Offense, Defense, Technical, and Speed. All these stats then form the overall value of the character. So that players are required to be able to strengthen the stats of the characters being played. The trick is to play well in each match, for example diligently scoring goals, successfully tackling opponents, making passes, and making interceptions.

Not only about stats, in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions each character also brings natural talent in terms of kicks, moves, and even tackles. These characters also receive many skills from many of the world's top players in the real world. For example, Fire Shoot from Schneider or Drive Shoot from Tsubasa himself.

Realistic Gameplay

Gameplay in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions feels more challenging than the previous series. No more lag incidents were found when players wanted to send passes or kicks. Everything can be presented as playing football in the real world. The most visible characteristic is when a player wants to beat an opponent or tackling. Separate buttons are provided, namely R2 and R1 on PS4 for the gojek and tackling functions of the opponent.

Then, when the player succeeds in outwitting the opponent twice, beautiful scenes from each character are immediately displayed as their trademark so far. It's just that players must always maintain the stamina of each character they play. Besides shaking, passing also carries the same abilities as Drive Pass which is mastered by Tsubasa.

Apart from that, what is most awaited is the skill shown when kicking when you want to score a goal. In Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, it is presented even more interesting, namely players just need to keep pressing the Square button until the indicator bar is full, they can automatically shoot with the skill or knowledge they have.

Players should not carelessly apply knowledge, especially when it comes to Combo Shots. When you want to apply difficult knowledge, for example the Joint Kick from Tsubasa and Misaki, the player must be in a situation where the two players must be in a position close to each other. Then if you want to use the Tachibana brothers, then the player must use gastric bait towards both of them.

Play together

Apart from the standard mode, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions players can also run the multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode is divided into local and online. In local mode, players can challenge other friends up to 4 people or 2vs2 using standard match mode. But you can also choose only penalty shootout matches up to Cup mode.

Meanwhile, in online mode, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions provides a Division League menu. The team of players who are able to win consecutively will immediately go up their division. In this mode, players get random characters using the matchmaking method. This online mode is very fun with fast matchmaking and throughout the match there are no annoying pauses. In the online menu there is also a Lobby feature. In this mode, players can play together with friends in a lobby secured by a password and then invite friends. 1vs1 or 2vs2 mode is provided in this Lobby.
