A look at FNOP vs TLID at the M6 World Championship Grand Final
As previously mentioned, the grand event that took place on Sunday (15/12) yesterday presented a fierce battle between Fnatic ONIC PH (FNOP) vs Team Liquid Indonesia (TLID).
In the Best of Seven (BO7) scheme, FNOP managed to beat TLID with a final score of 4-1. The combination of tactical gameplay and precise execution made FNOP superior to their opponents, even though TLID had put up strong resistance in the third game.
One of the most epic moments was when Kelra, player Gold Laners from FNOP, managed to score a triple kill using the hero Marksman which is on the rise, Bruno, in his first game.
Moving on to the second game, it seems that TLID has not put up a strong enough fight. They had to swallow defeat again after their turret was wiped out to the inner in the 11th minute.
The third game was a turning point for TLID to rise again. Faviannn, as jungler TLID, back to holding the hero joy to bring TLID to victory. Who would have thought, the effort actually paid off.
K1NGKONG the Jungler from Fnatic ONIC PH was rendered helpless. In fact, he is holding a hero who is currently OP, Suyou. FNOP had to admit defeat in the 13th minute.
In the fourth game, it seems that there was a swap of Jungler heroes, where FNOP used Joy and TLID used Suyou. In the first minute, Fnatic ONIC PH managed to secure first blood by eliminating the Jungler from TLID who advanced too deep.
Of course, it was a very detrimental moment for TLID, seeing their Jungler eliminated early on and leaving them behind with a lot of gold. The fourth game was secured by Fnatic ONIC PH with a match duration of 10 minutes.
Entering the fifth game, TLID's efforts to put up resistance seemed to be insufficient. They had to suffer defeat in a match that only lasted under 15 minutes.
Philippines Dominates M-Series Championship
With FNOP's victory in M6, the Philippines' dominance in M-Series history has been further strengthened. Previously, the Philippines also managed to win the M2 – M5 Series titles, starting from Brand Esports (M2), Blacklist International (M3), ECHO (M4), and AP Bren (M5).
On the other hand, Indonesia only won one M1 championship which was held by EVOS Legends at that time. Nevertheless, TLID's efforts to make Indonesia proud are commendable.
As a young team that appears with an aggressive playing style, they managed to eliminate tough opponents such as Selangor Red Giants (SRG) who were the hosts in the playoff phase.
It is hoped that in the upcoming 2026 M7 World Championship, Indonesia can perform better and succeed in breaking the Philippines as a regular champion in the M-Series.
Moreover, the M7 World Championship will also be held in Indonesia, which will make the competition even more exciting.
