Now let's just discuss the complete list of Starfield Factions available in the game. In total there are 14 factions available.

Of the 14 factions, they can be further divided into two factions: major and minor. The following is a detailed discussion:

Major factions

This category is a faction that opens up opportunities for players to join as one of them. There are 5 of them that fall into this category.

Constellations

From the very beginning, of course, Constellation was the default faction when Vicigers the first time I entered the game. These factions are considered a myth because their existence is often hidden.

As a faction that is considered mystical, Constellation is very synonymous with the main missions in the game.

So it is not surprising that some non-playable characters (NPC) who are invited to interact will give unexpected responses when players declare they are part of the Constellation!

United Colonies (UC)

Next is the Uniter Collonies or abbreviated as UC. This is the largest and most influential faction in the Starfield universe.

Most UC members are military men, politicians and other bureaucrats. It is natural that these factions are also based in the largest city in the universe Starfield, namely New Atlantis.

Freestar Ranges

Often referred to as the 'space cowboys', the Freestar Rangers are UC's rivals. It is said that once upon a time, the Freestar Rangers and UC fought a war, which was called the Colony War.

At that time, the Freestar Rangers championed a spirit of individualism that did not force people to form factions.

However, since their defeat to UC and the implementation of the faction system, they chose to exile themselves in Akila City.

Ryujin Corporation

Next came from the corporate side, namely Ryujin Corporation. They are a giant company that produces various cyber needs.

As a faction that is synonymous with the manufacturing theme, Ryujin Corporation is headquartered in an industrial city called Neon.

There are various forms of life there, from slum areas and thieves' dens, to sparkling areas that are synonymous with the world of entertainment.

Crimson Fleet

The last major faction has pirate characteristics: Crimson Fleet! This faction is 'space pirates'.

As pirates, it's no surprise that their job is to rob and commit crimes under the banner of the 'jolly roger' skull! Their headquarters also does not reside in one city, but instead exists in the form of a space station called 'The Key' which is located in the 'Kyrx' solar system.

The second category is minor factions. The remaining nine may have to wait for the DLC first so that they can also be unlocked:

  • Argos Extractors: An intergalactic mining company.
  • Ecliptic Mercenaries: A mercenary group that emerged after the Colony War.
  • Enlightened: A religious organization that is opposed to the Sanctum Universum. Players can become friends with this faction if they choose the Raised Enlightened trait option when creating their character.
  • House Va'ruun: A cult that worships an entity called the Great Serpent. Players can become friends with this faction if they choose the Serpent's Embrace trait option when creating their character.
  • Sanctum Universum: A religious organization that is the opposite of the Enlightened. Players can become friends with this faction if they choose the Raised Universal trait option when creating their character.
  • Spacers: Space raiders, a small criminal faction separate from the Crimson Fleet criminal organization.
  • The Red Mile: A group of refugees hiding in the Porrima III region of the Porrima solar system.
