Ancient was first added to CSGO to replace the Train map, when CSGO upgraded to Counter Strike 2, this map was still there.

The forest in Ancient is full of aesthetics so it will spoil your eyes.

Ancient is famous for its green plants and puddles of water in every corner of the map. And in Counter-Strike 2, the water will appear more textured, so it will add to the real impression of this game.

Ancient is placed into the Touchstone category.

It could be said that Anubis is one of the maps that has the best appearance in CS2.

This is because the new textures and utilizing the lighting system make the combat zones stand out.

Anubis did not receive any significant overhaul or upgrades, but instead, it was placed into the Touchstone category.

Dust 2

Dust 2 is a Touchstone map in Counter-Strike 2, meaning Valve kept the layout the same as CSGO, while improving the lighting in some key areas.

The most significant lighting changes for this map are in the CT-Spawn and Tunnels.

Previously, both areas were illuminated with dim silver light, but this has now been replaced with brighter yellow light.

Other areas on this map are also much brighter to drastically improve character reading, making it easier to find enemies.

The Inferno CSGO map always spoils the eyes of the players, and in CS2 this map is even more amazing.

The cobbled streets were brighter and the alleys looked much wider than before.

The latest iteration of this map has been given a beautiful coat of paint to reflect CS2's bright visuals.

Nukes

Nuke falls into the Upgrade category because of its major improvements. Even though the location layout is still the same, the textures and models used to build this map have undergone a transformation.

Most of the improvements seen in Nuke occur within the main build. It looks like Valve has worked hard to improve the corridors and both bomb sites.

Reflections on the floor and road are also very visible. Site A is illuminated by sunlight, while site B underground maintains the dark blue color but with better visuals.

When compared to CSGO, the palace in Mirage glitters with expensive tiles.

The reflection was so sharp that it looked as if the tiles had just been carefully polished to a mirror-like appearance.

Outside of the palace, Mirage looks mostly similar to previous CSGO games.

However, the reflections and rich color palette breathe new life into the dusty locations, offering a stunning gaming experience.

overpass

Overpass has undergone a complete overhaul, as a result, the park in Germany looks much fresher, with major visual changes over Counter-Strike 2.

Visually, one of the biggest changes Valve made to Overpass was improving the water effects.

The changes made to Overpass are so drastic that players will find it hard to believe if they have played this map before.

Developers on this map have planted new balloons on the party benches, adding a pop of color to the otherwise gloomy scene.

Another Touchstone update, this time for the classic hostage map, Office. This map includes improvements to the way glass breaks in the game, which is perfect for Office as the building is surrounded by glass.

This map is very difficult to win as T-side because of the huge advantage CT has in terms of position with the hostages.

Vertigo
