MDL ID Season 9 Schedule, Format, Team and Roster

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League (MDL) ID Season 9 was held starting March 4 2024. The Mobile Legends Tier B tournament schedule from Montoon has also been released.

Different from the previous season, MDL ID S9 will present a quite different atmosphere. Of course it will also be more exciting and competitive.

Not only in MPL ID which presents pro players from the strongest teams, but MDL ID also presents pro players with very interesting gameplay.

MDL ID Season 9 Schedule

Launching from the Official Website MDL ID, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League (MDL) Indonesia is the official MLBB tournament from Moonton which is a Professional MLBB Tier B (Tier 2) Esports event in Indonesia.

MDL aims to provide opportunities for MLBB players to achieve their dreams of becoming pro players and improve their skills and contribute to the development of esports in Indonesia.

The 17 teams that will compete in MDL Indonesia come from open qualifications and Play-In to win the title of MDL ID S9 champion and bring a total prize of $38 thousand or the equivalent of IDR 570 million for each season.

Group Format and Draw

As mentioned previously, in the MDL ID S9 there are new changes. In this sub we will discuss the format and draw group of the MDL ID S9 and just take a look!

Format

In MDL ID S9, there will be several changes that were not previously present in the previous season, such as the existence of a qualification route to the main round and the format of the tournament.

Previously, the MDL ID S9 tournament was divided into two groups, namely Affiliated Conferences which presented teams from MPL and Open Conferences which contained open qualification routes.

At MDL ID S9 this time there will also be two Grassroots teams, namely the champions of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia Community Cup (MICC), namely Warmil Geng and Xalvador Ozon.

Apart from that, the 17 teams that will compete in MDL ID S9 come from 9 MPL ID affiliate teams, 4 top independent teams in MDL ID S8, 2 MICC champion teams and 2 MDL Play-In champion teams.

One of the interesting things about MDL ID S9 is that it uses a new format which makes the matches more exciting and competitive, which will implement new formats, namely Group Stage and Swiss Round.

Swiss Round is a new format used by MDL ID S9 throughout the season. Please note that the Swiss Round is another form of Round Robin, where each team will compete with opponents who have the same score from different groups.

At the end, if the winning team will compete with the winning team in the next phase and the Swiss Round also applies to the losing team.
