Blue Lock Season 2

Blue Lock (ブルーロック/Burū Rokku) is a manga series by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura.

This manga has been published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 1, 2018 until now.

From this chapter, it has amounted to 31 tankōbon volumes as of October 2024. As of July 2024, the manga has sold 40 million copies worldwide.

Then, this manga was adapted into anime and film. For the anime Season 1 itself, it was produced by Eight Bit which aired on October 9, 2022 – March 26, 2023 with a total of 24 episodes.

In its 24 episodes, the anime has covered 11 volumes of the manga or around 90 chapters.

Meanwhile, the second season is still based on the manga story which aired on October 5, 2024 with the title "Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan".

Before the second season aired, the anime was adapted into a spin-off film titled “Blue Lock: Episode Nagi” which aired on April 19, 2024 on Crunchyroll.

In Season 2 there will be a prequel that focuses on Seishiro Nagi who becomes Isagi Yoichi's toughest enemy to win the soccer match.
