Archon Genshin Impact are the Gods (God) whose job is to lead the 7 countries in Teyvat, the background story of Genshin Impact takes place.
Who are the 7 Archons leading Genshin Impact? And what's the difference between Archons and Gods?

A little disclaimer that there will be few spoilers which covers Archon Quest and various quests other.

The Seven Archons, commonly known as The Seven or Archons is a title for the seven gods who preside over the seven regions of Teyvat.
Each Archon is associated with element and the ideal that is owned, where it will affect the shape of the territory and the method of government of each country.
Archons in Genshin Impact are chosen based on the winner of a war, the Archon War.
2000 years ago there was a big war between the Gods or called the Archon War,
The war aims to win or protect the territory owned.
This chosen Archon is then given an object called Gnosis, which corresponds to and resonates directly with Celestia.
This gnosis is shaped like a chess piece, whose true function has not been discussed throughout the story games.
All these Archons have one thing in common, namely their compassion for humans and their sense of responsibility to protect humans.

In accordance with the number of countries in Teyvat, there are 7 Archons who each rule each of these countries.
Unfortunately, there are only 2 Archons in Genshin Impact who are truly original.
Both have been released by Genshin Impact under the names Venti and Zhongli.
Other Archons have died in battle and been replaced with new Archons.
The following is information about the Archon characters in Genshin Impact:
Venti or who has another name as Barbatos is one of the remaining old Archons from the original The Seven.
Anemo archon is known as the God of Freedom with the element of wind (Anemo).
Venti is the Archon who rules Mondstadt. However, chose to hand over full governing powers to the Knight of Favonius to run the system in Mondstadt.
Venti earned the title of Archon after freeing the people of Mondstadt who were locked up by the previous God, Decarabia.

zhongli is Geo Archon who is also one of the original Archons of The Seven who won the Archon War and is the oldest Archon among all the Archons of Genshin Impact.
Zhongli, who is better known as Rex Lapis, has another name as Morax.
Before becoming an Archon, Zhongli was also a Dragon-shaped God named Exuvia who was also known as the God of War (The Warrior God).
After becoming an Archon, Geo Archon is better known as the God of Contract or God of Contract and has the element of earth (Geo).

Raiden Shogun (Electro Archon)
Raiden Shogun is a God who occupies the position of Electro Archon now with the element of electricity (Electro).
It is known from Archon Quest Inazuma that the current Raiden Shogun is the twin sister of the previous Raiden Shogun.
Raiden Shogun is actually the twin God of Eternity, namely Ei and Makoto, where Ei is usually tasked with protecting Makoto who runs the Inazuma government.
Unfortunately, Makoto was killed in a war 500 years ago when all the Archons were summoned to join the war that brought down the Black Sun Dynasty.
Makoto who died was replaced by Ei by taking the title as Baal (Makoto's other name). Ei himself has another name, namely Beelzebub.

Nahida (Dendro Archon)
Nahida or also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali (God of Flower or Dewa Bunga) is the youngest Genshin Impact Archon who leads Sumeru.
This was because Kusanali replaced the old Dendro Archon, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata (God of Wisdom or God of Virtue).
It is said that the previous Dendro Archon disappeared in the same war as Makoto.
Lesser Lord Kusanali was born and brought by Sage Academia Sumeru to lead Sumeru.

Updates this will unlock the Sumeru region as well as introduce Dendro elements and various new characters.
Hydro Archons
Hydro Archon or God of Justice is the Archon of Genshin Impact who presides over the Fountaine region.
The Archon who leads now is also a new Archon whose name and design are not yet known.
The information we have regarding the current Hydro Archon is that this god has a bad relationship with the Oceanids.
It is said that Oceanid was spread by the former Hydro Archon to connect all the nations of Teyvat.
However, the Hydro Archon who died was eventually replaced by a new God unrelated to Oceanid.
Pyro Archons
If you've read Genshin Impact comics, it is explained that Pyro Archon is known as Murata.
Murata, known as the Lady of Fire or the God of War, is the Archon who leads Natlan.
Information regarding Pyro Archon is still not detailed and Vicigers could find out more after updates going on.
Tsaritsa (Cryo Archon)
Tsaritsa is Cryo Archon who leads Snezhnaya. Vicigers may already know that the Tsaritsa is the leader of the Fatui.
It is not known for certain why the Tsaritsa formed Fatui and collected gnosis.
