Determining the best 5 star character in Honkai Star Rail according to the author is a rather difficult task.

Games which was released in April 2023 released various characters that have satisfying ability kits. All characters in the standard banner have satisfactory abilities.

Best 5 Star Character Honkai Star Tail August 2023

List of the best characters of the Honkai Star Rail version VCGamers This is determined based on Path according to update 1.2 in August 2023. Every path have their respective functions that benefit the party.

Characters included in the list are assessed based on several criteria, namely:

• The character's abilities are superior to characters with the same Path (for example, the Abundance character has a higher healing output)
• Abilities are superior to characters with element the same one
• The damage output that is given helps defeat the enemy too

Seele

The first 5 star that was released at the beginning of this game is undeniably one of the best 5 star characters of Honkai Star Rail.

The damage dealt is enormous with a high SPD, so Seele can easily finish off enemies in a few turns.

Seele also has a Follow up Attack where characters who are important characters in the Honkai franchise will get an additional turn to attack.

As a character with Path Hunt, Seele is capable of dealing massive DMG against 1 enemy like Echo of War.

However, the DMG given is no less great when fighting a large number of enemies.

The Quantum Element used by this Wildfire member is able to make the enemy affected by the Delay effect so that they will not attack for 1 turn.

Quantum also provides advanced DMG so that the enemy's HP bar quickly drops.  

Jing Yuan

If Seele excels against a single enemy target, Jing Yuan superior in fighting the enemy in multiple targets.

One of the Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance is the best 5 star character for the Erudition path which is focused on fighting large numbers of enemies.

Jing Yuan's gameplay focus is somewhat unique because the biggest DMG is generated from a character talent that summons Lightning-Lord to deal massive DMG.

When you use it with Jing Yuan, you will feel like you are getting DMG from the additional character, Lightning-Lord. 

Jing Yuan's gameplay rotation is a bit tricky because Lightning Lord's DMG and SPD are determined from Jing Yuan's game rotation, which also generates separate DMG.

But when you manage to play the right rotation, the DMG given is very large even from the author's experience you can finish the round in just 1 turn.

Blades

If you usually play Genshin Impact using DPS Hu Tao or xiao, you will feel the resemblance between Blade and these two Genshin Impact characters.

Blade can produce high DMG from the amount of HP it has and decreases due to enemy attacks or when using Skills.

Among other Destruction characters, Blade has a higher durability because the focus of character building is on HP stats.

Besides that, the DMG given by this Stellaron Hunter member is the greatest compared to characters with the same Path. In fact, the DMG generated from fighting many enemies is not much different from Jing Yuan.

The Blade Skill does reduce HP quite a lot. But instead you will save Skill Points because the buff from this Skill will last for 3 turns.

The high DMG and the efficient use of Skill Points make Blade, according to the author, worthy of being called one of the best 5-star characters.

Luocha

Luocha being the only best 5 star character who is not an offensive attack type path such as the Erudition, Destruction, or Hunt path.

According to the writer, the characters released in update 1.1 are underrated characters.

Many players miss the Luocha banner because they are eyeing Blade and Kafka. In fact, you can get dealer, Healer, and Debuffer DMG all at once in one character.

Luocha's HP recovery ability is calculated based on ATK percentage. Very different from other Healer characters such as Natasha and Bailu which are calculated based on HP.

Automatic DMG from the ATK of a character similar to Otto Apocalypse from Honkai Impact 3rd is bigger than other Healers.

Luocha's skill can perform debuffs (remove status) such as Paralyzed or Freeze on characters given by enemies. Besides that, Ultimate Luocha can remove buffs such as the ATK buff on enemies.

HP recovery can be done in various ways such as using skills or automatically when the character's HP in a party is below 50%.

Even when the Abyss Flower stack is accumulated, all attacks from party characters not just Luocha can be converted into HP recovery.

You can get all of Luocha's advantages from Eidolon 0 so it's a F2P friendly character.
