5 Best Rune Farm Locations in Elden Ring

To get Runes effectively, everything depends on several factors including farming methods, the area that can be accessed and the player's strength at that time.

To be more efficient, it is recommended that you have the Golden Scarab as early as possible because this item can increase the number of Runes you get up to 20%.

Here are the 5 best locations to get Runes in Elden Ring, from the start of the game to late games.

Redmane Castle

The first location is at Redmane Castle. A battle between the knights and the beasts of the Caelid will take place not far from the castle. You can get Runes passively after the battle.

If you don't have the Golden Scarab Talisman yet, go to the Abandoned Cave and defeat the boss to get the item and upgrade your Rune.

Bestial Sanctum

From the Bestial Sanctum, head south until you see a bridge. Defeat all the Vulgar Militiamen you encounter.

For every Vulgar Militiamen you defeat, you will get 1,023 Runes. The added point is, they only need a few hits to defeat.

Windmill Village

When you arrive at Altus Plateau, you will get access to Windmill Village where the Celebrants are located.

These Celebrants will keep dancing happily until you get too close and try to attack them.

Take advantage of this opportunity to use spells that can attack multiple enemies at once before they notice your presence.

When eliminating the Celebrants, pick up the weapons they drop. This weapon can provide several runes every time you attack an enemy and speed up the farming process.

Haligtree

If you already have adequate gear and level, you can look for Runes at Haligtree. This location was a place where many powerful beings gathered.

To reach this location, teleport to the Prayer Room Site of Grace and head north and through the parapet.

If you take the route through the parapet, most enemies will face the opposite direction from you so it's easier to stab them in the back.

Mogh's Palace

The last recommended place to farm Rune is Mogh's Palace. You can get a lot of Runes by defeating sleeping Albinarucs at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace.

As long as you can finish them off with one attack, the Albinarucs won't have a chance to attack you.

The best weapon to use to defeat them is the Sacred Relic Sword which can be obtained after defeating the Elden Beast.

Apart from the Sacred Relic Sword, you can also use Starscourge Greatsword's Weapon Art or Hoarfrost Stomp. For every Albinarucs you defeat, you will get 4,700 Runes.
